Tracks you would like to see on the MSCS schedule

Tracks I would like see on the MSCS schedule in 2008

1. Florence, KY, (one of the best races last year)
2. Terre Haute Action Track
3. Brownstown, IN
4. Vermillion County Speedway, Danville.Ill
5. Mt, Vernon IL
6. Paragon Speedway
7. Paducah Inter. Raceway, KY
8. Kamp Motor Speedway

9. Tri-State Speedway (20 minutes from my house)

A 20 race schedule with many more tracks would make me happy, how about you

I believe you will be happy this year... those guys havebeen hard at it with scheduling and working to meet the needs ot the local fan and racer. This has become a great series that drivers and fans both can enjoy. I personally support the MSCS and its competitors... I hope many more begin to as well!!! Stick around and see there will be a nice schedule this year....:checkered:

David, back in the fall I was told about something that the MSCS was going to try and put together for '08. If they were able to make it happen then you will be a very happy man. Let's hope so.:thumb:

One should be careful what they ask for!:D
I would like to see,
1.Bloomington
2.Red Hill Raceway
3.Kamp
I just don't have a warm cozy feeling about any of these three in 08 however.

Calvert City, Ky. would be another one to add. I believe they tried racing there a few years ago but it got cancelled.

Would like to see them race over my way in Missery. I know they once raced at Farmington and Benton.

Re: Tracks you would like to see on the MSCS schedule

Since I live in Springfield Illinois I would like to see more races in Illinois. Now don't get me wrong, I love coming over to Indiana. No disrespect intended. However, a few closer to home would be good. We have a lot of tracks over here which are good physically. I just don't know whether the promoters are up to sprints. As pointed out in another post earlier, Illinois fans don't exactly have a sterling record of supporting sprints, either. With that said, please come back to Jacksonville (Morgan County Speedway). We have enough other good tracks for an Illinois Sprint Week, such as Lincoln, Spoon River, Quincy, Granite City, Farmer City, Macon, Route 66 (Joliet), LaSalle, as well as those mentioned in other posts.

Assuming good promotion and track preparation, my priority would be Spoon River (I know, promotion and track prep are big IFs), Jacksonville, Granite City, & Macon.

Hope we see some more wingless sprint racing in Illinois this year!

I'd like to see an MSCS tripleheader in ECI. Gas City Friday, Montpelier Saturday, Kokomo Sunday. Maybe offer a bonus for winning all 3 features, smaller bonus for winning 2 of 3, or an extra $75 to each driver that makes the feature at all three tracks ($25 from each track).

I'd love to see Bloomington back on MSCS schedule. It makes a short drive for me and some great racing. The MSCS race in 2006 at Bloomington was great.

Get the Burg in place of Montpelier. Burg is a much more quality facility for a tripple header. Everything else sounds really good!

David,

I can tell you and everyone else that the MSCS will be at 4 of the 9 tracks you have listed. I cannot release which ones yet as I am trying to finalize all the details. I am still in talks with 3 more tracks on your list so we will see what happens. I'm not sure on the total amount of races we will have just yet as i am waiting on confirmation from Promoters. None the less, The MSCS will put on one helluva show no matter how many races we have or where we go.

David,

You want to see a 20 race schedule? Here is what I would like to see.

Illinois:

Granite City, Red Hill, Mt. Vernon, Vermillion County & Macon.

Kentucky:

Florence, Kentucky Lake & Paducah.

Ohio:

Moler & Waynesfield

Indiana:

Tri State, Lawrenceburg, Terre Haute, Brownstown, Kamp, Kokomo, North Vernon, Gas City, Union County & Bloomington.

I doubt that it will happen, but we can all wish & hope!

I doubt if Keith Ford would pay the sanctioning fee, I imagine he is quite content with his Saturday Nights as they are.

I believe that Mt. Vernon is one the "ones we're talking to". They are awaiting a lease agreement to be finalized. MSCS should move over to Illinois more often to develop because there truly are alot of old sprint car fans in Illinois and hey, its not that far a drive from Ind.

I would love to make another race there before it closes at the end of the 2008 season.

Spoonriver speedway had some of the best racing on it when the MSCS cars were there with the inagural DQ Clash and then the one follow up race afterwards. Yes I know they tore some equipment up and Korey Weyant got some serious air at the clash but I would give anything for them to come back.

Morgan County Speedway aka Jacksonville Raceway is another reat track for these cars.
