No Entry Fee for the 410 Non-Wing Sprints

Thanks

Don Moore.....

This is Tammy Gundaker with Tri-City Speedway. Enough is Enough

I originally posted the wrong pit pass price of $30. It has always been $35. Look at the Midget Entry Form.

It was a misprint when I originally posted on IOW.

If you have a situation with me then pick up the phone and call, please don't get on here and bash our event
we are going to do everything we can to make this a great 2nd Annual Gold Crown Weekend and continue to grow the "Gold Crown" for the open wheel drivers and fans.

Thank you,

There has been no bashing Mrs. Gundaker. Just asking about what you've publicly posted. You posted the pit pass fee yesterday at $30. This is about the third time I've read something different on here. Yesterday it was posted as $30. Now it's back to $35 today. Please make things clear about the promotion. I would still like to know EXACTLY what the "full payout is for the midget B mains". I've read "full payout" on your posts but have yet to read what the full payout is. I sent you an e-mail asking about the payout for the B mains. The answer you gave was $50/50/100. Is that tow money or positions? For everyone or just the B mains? These are legitimate questions amd not bashing. What is the payout for the cars in the C main? Again legitimate question, not bashing. Last year I went home with $50 check total for entertaining your patrons for 4 nights. that's $12.50 per night. If I'm going to travel 500 miles again, I need to know what the exact payout is which has not been posted. These are items you need to make clear, IMO, for your promotion so the car owners know what to expect. Please, no surprises like last year. If the payout for these races is a big secret, then there's no need to go there.

Thanks Tammy and Kevin for putting on a huge midget show!

This is a highlighted event for the year on our racing calendar. Adding the non wing sprints on Friday night is a great bonus to an already special weekend.

Thanks for all you are doing for open wheel racing in the St. Louis area.

I've done some announcing in the past and I may be hitting you up should you ever have an opening for your open wheel shows in the future.

Kevin - Tammy

What's the rain plan? I noted that Thursday has a 60% chance of showers. The other days look good.

The 1st Annual was terrific. We've been planning on being at this event all season long.

Thanks in advance

Don Moore your the man! Nice someone is not afraid to speak up. Are you saying only $50 for ALL three nights? I would assume it should have been $50 per night? I hope your questions are answered. Sure many would like to know "full pay-out"...

I have not gotten a clear answer on the "B main full payout" as stated by the promoters on this web site. Looks to me like the "B main full payout" was edited and disappeared. I e-mailed the promoters and asked what the "full payout was/is... Answer: $50/50/100. That sounds like tow money to me and no clarification about who actually gets that beyond the main event. I'm going to the fortune teller here in Indy (my second home here tonight and tomorrow until we hear if we are racing) and see if she knows. Maybe that "full B main payout" will appear in her crystal ball.

Re: $2,000 to Win 410 Non-Winged Sprints Friday, Oct 9th Tri-City Speedway

I just recently learned that $50 is only for those outside the feature, ranking (approx) 23-32 positions (not saying anything bad...believe it to be a fact...nothing more). Maybe you only finished in those spots once last year? It woud be nice to support a high paying event like this, as not many promoters do this type of deal. The more info the better though, I would say.

Re: $2,000 to Win 410 Non-Winged Sprints Friday, Oct 9th Tri-City Speedway

well, if you've been reading the other thread about teams loading up after a poor draw, we had the fun last year of starting in the back of the heat races all three nights with every sprint and midget champion in front of us. We didn't load up, we dealt with it and just missed the mains each night. We were paid $30/30/50... total of $100 and after 50% to the driver, my take was $50 which translates to $12.50 per night payout including the practice night which had free spectator admission. Yes... $12.50.

......So basically what your saying is that you lost money in midget racing?

I'm basically saying that the water truck guy was paid a lot more money than the racers. Did you pay $20-28 as a race fan last year to see the water truck guy or the racers?

Revin 10/9/09 10:08 PM

Re: $2,000 to Win 410 Non-Winged Sprints Friday, Oct 9th Tri-City Speedway

Don,

To answer your question: Anyone that did not qualify for the A-Main would recieve Thursday - $50, Friday - $50
Saturday - $100. Hope this answer's your question. Yes we did recieve your entry.

The downfall is the only one that is racing is the 50 geese around the scoring tower! The infield has 2' of water in it.
We have had over 5" of rain in the last 24 hours.

I am not sure why you are so negative, All we are trying to do is bring a large Midget event to the Midwest, it seems that some don't appreciate this!!

The Gold Crown Midget Nationals will be back again in 2010 watch for all the details.

Oh by the way I drive the water truck myself!!!!!!!!

Thank You,
Kevin Gundaker

You can put your spin on it any way you like. I'm just repeating and reporting what you've posted or didn't post. I finally got an answer here two posts ago after a week or so of no answers. I tried to keep this out of IOW by e-mailing and you didn't answer my questions. To Mr. Walls. If you knew the answers to my questions, why didn't you post them several days ago? Apparently you didn't know the answer either. Nothing negative about this. I need answers to my questions about what you're paying and to whom before I set out on a 500 mile trip. If you're going to publicly publish "full B main payout" then I expect to know what the "full B main payout" is.

There were a couple times this year where I would have gladly paid $20-$28 to see the water truck guy... in his truck dropping water on the track! :3:
