I wanted to go,but never found a decent airfare.

So I am recharging the wallet a bit for the 2008 season instead.

It had me wondering too. I always thought of it as DOTY (not to be confused with Kevin who I truly miss).

For those going to Tucson from Phoenix (or from Ca. via Casa Grande or I-8), you have to totally exit I-10 just as you get to Tucson, and traffic really back up on the detours. Give yourself plenty of time to get thru the town and to the track.

54 Sprint cars, weather is great and they are just being pushed off, Coons, Hockett, Hunter, and all the west coast guys. I have been on sixteens and have some stuff to do so I will get what I can when I can. If there is someone that he can text that has done updates before You can send me a number and we can get better updates.

Track is fast top and bottom, Hunter is fast Wissmiller had a slight problem to start but is fast and looks like it was nothing serious, getting the heats lined up.

Re: Tucson next weekend

1st heat Shuman, 2nd heat Hockett, 3rd heat R.J. Johnson 4th heat Hunter, 5th heat C.Davis, Sherman lead till the last and Davis got by him, Josh thought there was a problem between the two as it looked like they flipped each other off. Track has slicked off and the first 3 heats were won from the front as Hunter has passed a few cars to win. 1 red for a guy from Hawaii he is ok. Wissmiller looks to have a small problem of some kind (not sure) Lining the B's up now. Sorry I have so little but we are back and forth with me going back to work at 11:00 thank God for overtime as without it we would be on the sidelines.

Davis wins the dash and starts on the front row, Hunter will be on the 2nd row outside, (feature) B-main was being pushed out, josh will call after the B-main

Re: Tucson next weekend

Josh is not sure who the guy was that won the c-main and the b is taking forever with Rick Zeihl leading Coons second and Travis Rilat third, Wissmiller got upside down while running in a transfer, Josh said it was a slide job gone wrong by the guy racing him for the position, he is out of the car and ok.(not Wissmillers fault) The track is right up on the fence and it is getting pretty cold so he thinks they are going to throw the checkerd due to taking so much time. Again sorry for the length of time between updates and the shortness of info.

Hello everyone, Josh just called with the results; Jesse Hockett won, Jerry Coons Jr 2nd, Casey Shuman 3rd, Charles Davis Jr 4th, Jeremy Sherman 5th, Hunter Schurenburg 6th, and Corey Kruesman 7th. Hunter led until around lap 7 when Davis ran over him, other than that Josh said it was a good race. Take care everyone and have a great weekend! :)
