Lawrenceburg Surface..

I want to say that the surface at Lawrenceburg last Saturday couldn't have been better!!! Quite a few of us were a little "over-hooked" but, that was our problem (quite few "Bicycles" out there in the feature!!!!!). From a spectator standpoint it was ideal all night! I'm assuming Tim and Chris Johnson had a hand in the preparation. Great job guys!!!!!!!! Thanks for all of your hard work!!! :8::6:

PS...sorry about omitting Fishnman! Great job Dave!!!

Dont forget about fishenman! I sat on the backstrech against the fence and never got a spec on me with the wind blowing towards me. Truly great work by all.:8:

I thought it was good, No dust. The racing was good all night.

Its just a question but why not run it in to the top???? Not a complaint. Just love to see the track wide and it got there :)

The only thing in Section A that was noticable were the normal track turds. No, I don't mean Marv and Danny, but the slight peebles of dirt off of the tires early on during hot laps. As far as the rest of the turds, nothing new to report.;):3::19:

Hmmm, "track turds" huh? Mike, fortunately for you, we love having Kelly join us under the "A". In fact, if I was single.........and younger...........and taller.........and darker............and smarter..........and wittier.............and wealthier..........awww, heck....she still wouldn't have anything to do with me. :(

Big dude that you are, I would nevertheless be careful with the jabs at our friendly letter carrier. You've heard the term "going postal" I'm sure. I wouldn't move to Columbus, were I you. I'm just sayin'..........

Mike, no need to worry about the Mailman going postal, he only had one bullet and he used it when he shot himself in the foot a couple of years back.

Dave,

I am more worried about the Swordman than the Mailman. Danny can be bought for a cheeseburger or two. Swordman on the other hand, has weapons of mass destruction.:5::3::17: Just ask Hoover. He hasn't walked the same since the.....well you know.:19:

Hey Marv,

Your competition isn't me, it's the Swordman.:3:

I hope the names have been changed in this picture to protect the inocent :14: If i'd known I was going to be on camera I would have combed my hair before I left home :3:

That photo is not real clear which I'm sure is not the fault of Ricks Pic or of his equipment. I suspect someone moved just as he snapped the picture. :14:

Re: Lawrenceburg Surface..

Rick must have taken that picture early on before the crowd arrived and while Landon and I were either in the pits or below the grandstand. Kelly looks as if she wished to be somewhere else. :2:

He left today to go back home and bust my butt if I don't already miss him and his brother. Well, their mom too.

I told Landon that if he wanted and if we had asked really nice Cecil would have let him sit in the 2s car. But he didn't seem to be interested. :14: Who can figure kids out?

And Cecil is right about the track on Saturday. Preparing a dirt track seems to be as much art as it is science. Dave and the crew get it right more often than not. But then there are others who do the same here in our state.

anytime, Danny. Some kids are timid at first. Give him time and keep making the offer. Eventually he'll do it and he'll enjoy the experience. Oh, and bring a camera!

Cecil, how many guys are still running their sway bars at "the Burg"? Shouldn't be "biken it" with it on.

Moto, quite a few guys took them off. When Dickie Gaines drove our car he insisted that we take it off. We haven't put it on since. Jeff Walker even took the mounts for the sway bar off of his cars. Two that did run them Saturday were Tim Spindler and Joss Moffat. Nobody bicycled more than Joss that night!!! I really can't believe he didn't tear it up but, he held onto it. He is an excellent driver.

Brady Short never takes his off (and I don't think Darren Clayton does either) and I never see him "biken it". If there working right I don't think they will.

Im pretty sure the jacobs ladder of moffatts car broke.... hence the bikin'....

after watching the video... 1 and 2 looked awesome, 3 and 4 looked pretty suspect for more than bikin'

Re: Lawrenceburg Surface..

The ladder broke on andrew elson's car with about 10 laps to go. The only thing left holding the car up was the top tube of the ladder and the upper straps the rest of the ladder was gone. Still managed a 3rd place finish, but the last few laps were a little hairy. As for the sway bar i have had better results without it.

I can honestly say, I haven't seen a more consistant front runner than Joss. Expecially starting way back a lot, Hes almost always top five and I can't believe he hasn't won more than he has. Great guy also,

I don't quite call what Joss did bicycle. He was on every wheel but usually only one at a time several laps :)

Hope ya gett it sorted out Joss, Top five with all that trouble was IMPRESSIVE!

I'll have to agree with you Chuck, and Cecil, on Joss Moffatt. But I am a little partial when it comes to him.

Broc is right. I went back to their hauler and Bill held up the jake. I got a pic.. it was broke. Bill said it broke soon after he got second place.... The fact he held on as long as he did is great! Good job to Elson too with same prob.
