Re: Chili Bowl entries...
I heard Steve Lewis is thinking of taking his #9 cars to Tulsa. Can anyone elaborate on this?
|
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
I'd be surprised by that....beings it's not a USAC event. I don't think they've been there since the early 90's with Stan Fox.

Re: Chili Bowl entries...
i think he feels the same way about the c-bowl as don moore does
even though he could afford it |
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
I was just looking through the entry list and noticed that Stenhouse isn't entered for TSR. Was he released by the team?

Re: Chili Bowl entries...
Just my thoughts but TRD might have a say in this. HBO race, Mopar and Chevy fully represented. I know other teams run Toy's but aren't they the TRD team?

Re: Chili Bowl entries...
Go to the Kokomo Tribune website under sports section. Dave Bowman's interview with Dave Darland. It mentions Steve Lewis putting together a super team for the Chili Bowl.:applaud:

This brings up a good question. Who will be Dave's teammate? Ray is already in a car and he drove for Lewis on the dirt before. Does this mean we might see some WoO sprintcar drivers in the other cars or will we see some late model drivers come over and try to drive? This will be very interesting to see who is on the team with Dave. |
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
[QUOTE=dirtywhiteboy;20124]Good to see Darland with a team he is familiar with at Tulsa.
dave has driven the wilke-pak car there for several years now, he's very familiar with them and it's a top notch ride that he's done well with |

I remember Darland saying that he had a contract with Wilke a few years ago so I guess that is now over. |
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
I know he has driven for Wilke-Pak at Tulsa before but that is the only race he runs with them. He has driven for Steve Lewis for many many years and is very familiar with the cars and team. He has done great and I wasn't knocking them at all. Hell, when you have a teammate like Tracy Hines you can't help but have one of the best teams in racing.

Re: Chili Bowl entries...
Loyet has an awesome team lineup. Brad, Stanbrough, Lasoski, PJ Jones and another TBA entry. Wonder who will fill that one?

Re: Chili Bowl entries...
you guys talk about Lewis possibly bringing a team of cars.. wonder what numbers they will have on them seeing as how Kahne has already entered the 9 and 91. Would be odd seeing the "9" 's having to put an abbreviation after them.

From the Chili Bowl web site I see Mad Dog Murdock has hired none other than Tyler Walker to run for him.
What a pair. :thumb: |

I would like too see one of them cars entered with the TBA after it, give Robert Ballou a call and hook him up with a ride .
|
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
how about TK?
|
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is still looking for a ride.
|
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
Why isnt he driving Stewarts? I know he is moving on, but you'd think Tony would have a car for him on special nights like this. Tony doesnt want Ricky to beat him!!
|
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
I would imagine that his new deal with Roush/Fenway would not make him a likely candidate for a seat in a can sponsored by Chevrolet. Unless they stick a blue oval emblem on a Chevy-powered car (like they did when he won at Manzy in SC this season), it is not likely that he will be driving for TSR.
|
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
Nothing to do with Roush/Fenway, TSR has four cars entered already and said five is to many. Thats why he is seeking other options.
|
Re: Chili Bowl entries...
I believe it is ok to say that Jeff Bland Jr. hopefully has a Bowl ride this year as well, not yet sure who with or car #, but hoping to go with him out there!
