USAC/WoO Post
Don't know how true, BUT, I heard last night at Lincoln Speedway PA., that Kasey Kahne signed Cody Darrah (young PA hot shoe) friday night at Eldora to run the Outlaw schedule next year. My question, is KK pulling the plug on USAC since Brad Sweet is running ARCA. Is KK running a three car outlaw team. Is KK getting rid of somebody (wing fans know who that would be) and running a two car team.
Is KK getting out of USAC??????????????????????? Inquiring minds....:11: |
Re: USAC/WoO Post
I do know cody is a hell of a driver. He is also the nephew of lm woo star rick eckert.

Re: USAC/WoO Post
Kasey's got money, he can run both. Keep running USAC just sign a new driver

Re: USAC/WoO Post
Pine i heard the same at sprint week at gas city .......that he was pulling the plug on USAC and was gonna have a 3car WOO team

Re: USAC/WoO Post
I'd say hes dumping USAC & adding a 3rd WoO car.

Re: USAC/WoO Post
Lets all dump USAC and chase wings! :21: :24:
JUST KIDDING :5: :32: |
Re: USAC/WoO Post
I don't know about the KKR situation but Brad did pretty well in the ARCA race. He went backwards, but he finished on the led lap. Started 8th and finished 16th. Not bad for his first start! We'll see what happens with the KKR team. They didn't have a good run last night at the Kings Royal! Kasey had the best finish out of the whole group - 3rd in the 360 race after leading for about 12 laps. Joey looked like he could have gotten up there after starting in the second row but he hit the wall. Unfortunately Craig didn't make it to the A main for the second night in a row.

Re: USAC/WoO Post
The info you all heard of KKR signing Cody Darah is absolutly false. Just confirmed with the team.

I had heard similar info of leaving USAC. Nothing else and that was from some people I trust but not sure they have the facts straight.
The Darrah thing, I have no idea. |
Re: USAC/WoO Post
I posted this on another board and got a response that Darrah turned the ride down. Don't make sense to me, but then again, it don't have too....:11: I don't know

I heard a similar story about TSR. I hinted at it after hearing it after the Kokomo show, but no one mentioned anything. But from what I've heard, Chevy is pulling their support, so at the end of the season, they are going to evaluate the situation, but most likely, the 21 team will be gone. But, this is purely rumor as I haven't heard it from TS's mouth, so I don't know how true it is. But who I did hear it from would probably know. I could see Kasey Kahne doing something similar with Mopar leaving. They are both pretty shrewd business men, so I'm sure losing the free motors is going to make them rethink the profitability of a racing program.

Re: USAC/WoO Post
The sooner they leave USAC the better off they will be.

Re: USAC/WoO Post
Fast forward to about 2:23 into it. Cody Darrah throws his steering wheel at Sean Michael then goes over to his car and starts ripping the spark plug wires off. lol

Re: USAC/WoO Post
Some late model org's have tv deals and so does WOO. Where's that leave USAC and their teams being able to get good sponsorship deals.:11:
