Re: What's The Best Game
Thanks! I went to the local game stop and they didn't have the WoO so I bought Sprint Cars Road to Knoxville. I'll be trying it out shortly.

Re: What's The Best Game
World of Outlaws 2002 is my favorite PS2 game there is. I have rFactor and the Bandit sprints from 321, but it isn't so easy to pick up and run with. Another dirt mod that has been occupying some of my time as of late is dirtfactor which is latemodels, but fun nonetheless. I haven't played Road to Knoxville, though I have heard some unhappy reviews?
Amazon.com has a few copies of WoO 2002 left so check it out there. |

Saturday Night Speedway is very enjoyable. 13 tracks to run a midget. Me and my 9 year old son play each other quite a bit. I can kick his butt at Bloomington, but in return he kicks mine at Eldora!

Re: What's The Best Game
Road to Knoxville is crap, but a Sprint Car game nonetheless...
WoO 2002 is the best and pretty realistic as far as the ps2 goes... Saturday Night Speedway is made by the people who made WoO 2002 and modeled the same... the concept of running midgets is very cool and even throw a little flame out the exhaust when you get off the gas and back on... plus you can run Street Stocks and Late Models... The Stocks suck, but the Lates are good... jmo! :D |
Re: What's The Best Game
Well after playing Road to Knoxville for a hour or so I kept hoping it was going to get better. It didn't. I would have to say it's not that good. I expected better. I already have Saturday Night Speedway which I like. Guess I will have to find the WoO game. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks again for everyones opinions.

Re: What's The Best Game
rFactor is the best game around, IMO. You can only buy it online ($40 at rfactor.net), but well worth it. The basic game is for F1 racing, but there are so many mods it'll make your head spin. Hell, they even have a lawnmower racing mod. The only thing I haven't found yet is a midget mod, but there are sprints, and somewhere upwards of 30 dirt tracks.

Re: What's The Best Game
world of outlaw game on ps2, ive actually been meanin to find a used ps2 so i can start playin this game again. road to knoxville isnt worth much. ive never played saturday night speedway, but i want to try to find it if i get a ps2 again. the ratbag computer game is pretty good also, i just dont like playin games on a computer. the online mod games just confuse me, i cant figure out rfactor :headbang:.
they need a game on 360, but ill settle for "dirt" right now, best off road racing game ive ever played. |
Re: What's The Best Game
i agree that the ps2 woo game is awesome....saturday night speedway is really good too. another game which i really enjoy is called nascar dirt to daytona........before you start thinking oh great nascar......it is very realistic with the physics of the cars. they have dirt stock cars which are ok....but the real fun are the featherlite pavement modifieds! you have to really watch the way you drive or you will burn up the tires and the handeling goes right out the window. but all in all the entire game is very realistic and has a lot of hidden challenges that make game play very very enjoyable.

Re: What's The Best Game
Road to Knoxville would be better if the computer opponents were more competitive in the midgets. I once lapped the entire field twice in a 30 lap feature.:action-smiley-049: I know I'm not that good.

Re: What's The Best Game
The ps2 WOO game is awesome. Ive had it since it came out and still play it constantly. If any of you guys are fimiliar with the latemodel heat game you can download there a midget mod i found and downloaded it. Its ok not the best but its midgets. Some of the drivers it comes with are kasey kahne, jay drake, clay klepper.

Re: What's The Best Game
I have to agree that road to knoxville sucked. I bought it and played it for about an hour and havent played it since. I love saturday night speedway, it's probably the easiest to pick up and play so I can accually play against friends that aren't racers. I also play world of outlaws a lot on the computer and I like that quite a bit but only with a wheel and pedals.

What was the retail price for Woo PS2? The ones on Amazon go from $40 used to $200 new.

Re: What's The Best Game
The retail price for World Of Outlaws 2002 was right around $20, new. However, it was a pretty rare game, so they're now jacking the price up, even used versions...

Re: What's The Best Game
at the oval nat and western there was 4 nonwing simulators

Re: What's The Best Game
DAK Simulations are the non-wing simulators you ran at Perris. They seem to be pretty popular with the fans and an enjoyable experience. Website is www.daksimulations.com They go to many different tracks and can go to private parties as well.

Re: What's The Best Game
You can buy the PC version of World of Outlaws 2002 for about 10 bucks on ebay....at least you could last year. Same game, just some of the in game music is different.
|
Re: What's The Best Game
I played the PC game with the keyboard before I got the wheel & pedals. Definately easier. Now they just need to incorporate the old & the new with paintshop & be able to put the tracks you want in the series you playing. I'd rather race some of the shorttracks than race some of the tracks over a second time.
