Thanks drivers for doing what you do best. You guys can drive no matter what track is put in front of you. I had my doubts about the size of the track but once again you had the fans on the edge of their seats with the slide passing and side by side action.
Congratulations to Tim Lynch on his first ever TQ feature win. Johnson County Fairground track record goes to Tate Martz. Way to go, Tate. Jason Willis was the Jackson Oil Duel for Fuel winner. While #98 Patrick Bruns of Illinois IRMA TQ Series, #88 Jamie Ross of Indiana, #7 Kevin Rice of Edinburgh, IN, #23 Tim Lynch of Columbus, IN, and #24 Joe Miller of Shelbyville were the other heat race winners. More results to be posted later today on MTQRL.com. Thanks #5G and #40 teams for hanging out and talking racing until 5 a.m. See you all at Rushville. |

I'd just like to thank the folks at Franklin, for having us, and I hope we can work together, to make your facility, once again, the place to race. I'd also like to thank the folks that spent the evening, high up on the bleachers, it had to be cold up there, I know it was cold in the pits, some cool weather for mid July. Also, to the fans, that came to the pits after the races were over, to look at the cars, and for all the favorable comments you heaped on us, it was reward enough for the time you took, to let us know we were welcome, and you would like to see us back. For what looked like it could turn into an unfavorable event, I think after the drivers had a bit of time to adapt, it turned out pretty decent, maybe a couple of gallons less water would have been nice, but it was a learning experience all around. Thanks again, all around! Bob McClure & Kyle Lux #29m Just wonder how long it will take, to wipe that smile off Tim Lynch's face?

The little Franklin track reminded me of a mini-chili bowl. Sorry for my low quality video, but its all I had. :23: |

It is always on my list but never get the break in our schedule. Hopefully next year we can go, if I'm not in the Caribbean. :) |

I bet Tim is still smiling today. LOL That night was way too cold. We had to turn the heat on in the motorhome. The officials heard lots of compliments on the drivers. We are so proud of all of you. Franklin is a great facility. I learned a lot of the track history through Gary Sat. night. It is a hidden gem of a track. I bet the karts were fun to watch on it. Because the track is small, maybe we can have a race there with more laps. ---------- Post added at 03:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:58 PM ---------- Originally Posted by jontheturboguy: |

STP, if you can get him to LISTEN, long enough, tell Gary Lee, Kevin Rice wasn't the only go-karter there in 1974, I and a few other were there, but sorry to say, it rained us out, but we ran anyway! Bob

I am really happy everything worked out well in Franklin. From the video it looked like the racing was good as was the crowd. I hope things there will continue to grow.

Re: VUMTQRL Saturday July 18 @ Johnson County Fairgrounds Franklin IN
Im glad everything worked out this past weekend. Congrats to Jason Willis on his win last Friday, and congrats to Tim Lynch on his first feature win in a TQ. Ive watched Tim for 3-4 years now, and have watched him get better and better, and I believe that this feature win is just the first of many to come.
Ok seriously... I am really impressed with the video clip! Is that something that Mark and Jen had put together or did someone just do that for the fun of it? About the only thing that would have made it better would be hearing a clip or two of Gary lee announcing... Ok, that was a shameless plug... :6: |
Re: VUMTQRL Saturday July 18 @ Johnson County Fairgrounds Franklin IN
Wow, what an interesting track! It sounds like to like a lot of hard work went into making this track ready for racing to take place. Kudos for that hard work and getting the job done!
The video is very cool! Thanks for posting it, for sure! Hopefully we'll be seeing more of them in the future. Thanks, Shawn (Not JPM) :2: |

STP, can we get that logo on some front bumper plates, for our trucks? Julie, at "A sign above" is ready to start doing them, we'll all buy one. Bob

Good deal, I was hoping there would be videos available. I'll take one for sure, as well as a plate. Thanks a bunch! Bob
