Just to Clarify! VCS is racing this weekend!
 

With the new announcement from Spiker Promotions, the starter button on the rumor mill has been pushed and there is speculation as to whether VCS will be in action July 4th and July 5th.

It is 100% fact that VCS WILL be in action this weekend with the scheduled events as planned. It all starts at noon with the car/bike show and the Guitar Hero competition rocking out at 1PM. Saturday night will feature our weekly classes including Sprint Cars, Modifieds, Crate Lates, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks.

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!!!! VCS wil host the ever exciting, door to door, hammer down excitement of the UMP Summer National Late Models! Other classes will include UMP Modifieds and UMP Street Stocks! There will also be a live band at 4PM!!!!! A HUGE Fireworks display will also be on the card, so bring your kids and OOOOH and AHHHH!!!!!

Thanks Bill. Going to be a Soggy 4th this year. Where I live the Village has a huge fireworks show at the park. 2inches of rain don't lend itself well to hundreds of cars parking on the ball fields. "Code Blue"

I am in Danville right now.....there are some light sprinkles coming down, but nothing hard yet.....I will keep you updated from the track.....Headed there now....

hopefully they will a decision at an early time so people that must travel a ways have time to adjust their 4th plans. Lets not watch it rain all day and keep dragging our feet. Heres hoping the rain stops here in the next hour so we can race.:6:

Sitting at the track now....Just came from the radio station and the rain will be out of the radar within the hour. The track surface is still in good workable shape.....I will keep you updated as to todays progress and if there are any changes.....We are setting up for the Scion of Danville car show right now which starts at noon Illinois time with the Guitar Hero competition starting at 1PM.....

Hope you are right but I live over by Springfield and it is still raining here. Weather.com radar shows several more hours before we get a break for danville. Who knows. Weatherman is the only job I know where if you are right 50% of the time you are good......
