Hows the pavement format work? Not many cars, but still ran heats who starts where?

Sorry Susan but I dont have any contact with Dave at all! Toledo is awful with phone service! I was hoping to get some updates at USAC but of course no such luck! I will let you know if I find anything out!

Here are some Updates from Toledo!

15 sprints, 21 midgets! Sweet set a new track record in midgets, Whitt set a new track record in Sprints!
Midget heats were won by Boat, Hagen and Whitt. Sprint heats were won by Jones and Gardner!
No Semi's! Midget Feature on track now! Thanks to Dean Mills for the updates!!!!!

The finish from Dean (not the USAC website!!! ) East, Wilson, Hagen, Coons, Hmiel, Whitt, Santos, D Armstrong, Hines, Gardner, Clarke, Jones, Darland, Gingas, Livernash. Only yellow was for Darland who spun!

I just looked at the USAC website. The photo of Bobby East at Toledo seems to indicate that the Chevy-type heads are still on the "Ford" engine in that Klatt sprinter. Those guys at Beast are really talented. I also noted that both the car and Bobby's uniform still sport that blue oval, so that means it really is a "Ford". Right?
