why were the midgets dropped?
I wish they could get a bigger car count. I think they would have if they left the midgets on the program. is it because this track scares the owners & the drivers?
I miss dave steele.

Here is a question: With so few cars how will they line up the feature? Will they run a B? Will the top 4 from the heats make up the first 4 rows? Or will everyone just start by qualifying times? Hmmm... Inquiring minds want to know!:) Thanks! Where did Dave D qualify for that matter? Does any one know? Thank you!!!!

My thoughts exactly. I know they give points for the heats, but other than that they didn't mean a thing tonight.

Neely is not racing anymore... started his own business in IL. Steele is racing a limited TBARA schedule and operates his own Speed Shop in Tampa.

HINES WINS “RICH VOGLER CLASSIC”

Winchester, IN…….Tracy Hines of New Castle, Ind. captured Thursday night’s 40-lap “Rich Vogler Classic” as USAC returned to “Thursday Night Thunder” at the Winchester Speedway. Hines was the fastest qualifier for the USAC National Sprint race and trailed Cole Whitt until the 37th lap when he made the winning pass in turn three. Hines then led the final four laps in his Tony Stewart Racing Chevy/Bass Pro Shops Beast/Kistler Chevy to beat Whitt, Bobby East, Darren Hagen and Jacob Wilson. Shane Hmiel led the first two laps and Whitt, trying to become the fourth different Keith Kunz team driver to win the race in the last four years, led the next 34. Re: Winchester Updates?

1) There was a great crowd
2) Charlie Shaw told people that their ticket stub was worth 3 buck off any Winchester event because the crowd was great and the car count was low
3) The feature was absolutely compelling regardless of the car count - there was stuff happening everywhere - -
