Before anything gets put on here that is out of line or untrue, I just wanted to say first and foremost thank you to Paul, this was probably one of the hardest phone calls I have ever made, he is by far the most dedicated and die hard car owner I have ever driven for. He has done alot for me, and puts his heart and soul into his racecar and I cant explain how much I appreciate everything he has done. I just came to a point where I need to try and approach what im doing in a little different way. I wish him and the 57 car luck, and who knows, if there is a night he doesnt have someone driving and Im not doing anything, maybe we could do it again..

Thanks for the come back. I hope for both you and Paul's sake everything works out for the best.

Justin Marvel would be a good choice, I have it from a good source he is looking to get back into racing if he can find a ride.

It would great to see Justin get back behind the wheel, he has been a favorite of mine. :31: I would also like to see Jonathan Vennard get a shot at the ride.

After this weekend i would be making a call to Steve Buckwalter. If you didnt watch him last weekend you might not understand!
A few weeks would be great timing to get him used to some of the tracks before sprint weeks!

How about Kent Christian. He is one of the best underfunded drivers out there, not to mention one of the friendliest guys in a sprint car. I would love to see him in Hazen's car. Two true veterans of the sport.

I'm with you on that one. I've been watching Steve beat on all the ARDC competitors for several years now. He runs people clean, has incredible car control, runs deeper into the turns that anyone else back east, doesn't crash & understands car set up. He also has winged sprintcar experience too. If I was an Indiana car owner I'd be taking a serious look at Steve. He could be one of those prolific winners like Stanbrough was with the Fox Boys.

Ok, everyone can start throwing things at me after they read this. There is somebody out there I have been watching for years and wanting someone to give him a chance in a sprint car. He is a VERY good driver, very smooth and almost always finds his way to the front no matter where he starts unless he has some sort of mechincal problem. His name is James Headley. I think he would be a really good driver if someone would give him the chance and be patient with him. He just needs the chance.

I say put the California kid, Justin Grant in it! He does alot of work in the Chris Windom / Walker camp. He came to the Midwest to make his mark. He is driving for Don Moore right now in the midgets.

:2:Brad Kuhn would be a good fit if they could work it around his midget races. Drove for Steve christian and Bennic and was doing great. Smart about set ups and car handling smooth and easy on equiptment.

I agree.

I would like to see Buckwalter running a sprint car here as well.

All are fine choice IMO

For old time sakes it'd be cool if Tony Elliott drove the car one last time at Kokomo.

Since Justin Grant did so great at Kokomo in Don Moore's car. HA! I heard T-Mez is in it for the weekend.

Joss, Jimmy Light and a few others come to mind as proven front runners.

I see tons of guys who have a race or a heat race where they do really well but ususally are not up there. These guys aren't. They lack some qualification skill but racing they are almost always going forward.

JJ Hughes has been impressive as well with his little exprience out here. A pleasure to watch him wheel a sprinter :)

There's a endorsement that doesn't look too bad on your driver's resume, huh Joss?:8: Without a doubt, here's a guy that you see just about every race, come feature time, battling and holding his own with guys that he shouldn't technically be able to run with (equipment wise). And usually for the whole race, not just a few laps. And he seems to be easy on equipment, as well.

WRONG!!!!!

The one negative crew memeber that don't drive, working against him instead of w/ him didn't have anything to do w/ it??? Justin will be at Kokomo for the Bob Darland Memorial in the #10! :-) Nice to let everyone know who you are Mr. ILIKESPRINTCARS! :11;
