Budweiser Open Wheel Night!! King of Indiana Sprints Eddie Bennett Memorial, AMSA Mini Sprints, Midwest TQ Midgets, VARC Vintage American Race Car Show and race

Bobby Gomph family and safety crew is donating $1000 to the KISS Sprints Purse in memory of Eddie Bennett. Eddie Bennett was a former promotor of Lawrenceburg Speedway in the 70's who recently passed away.The KISS race will now pay $2550 to win and $300 to start. The KISS payoff will be $50 more through the entire 20 car feature. Special thanks to Bobby Gomph!!

Regular Admission Prices

6 and Under: Free
Pit Pass: $30.00

Cars, Trucks, & SUV’s: $10.00

Start Times
Start times may vary with sanctioned shows/special events.
Pit Gates Open: - 4:00p.m.
General Admission Gates Open: - 5:00 p.m.
Qualifying Draw - Closes @ 6:00 p.m. sharp
Hot Laps (Practice): - 6:00 p.m.
Racing: - 7:00 p.m.

Nope!!! But saturday night is Budweiser Night!! with reduced beer prices. I believe they are $1.50 a can.
And Budweiser reps will be there with a display in the midway handing out FREE drinks!!

I liked my idea better, but I'll take what I can get. What bout the line about " where the worlds largest sprint car races are held". I thought you were going to announce the non-wing nationals at Lawrenceburg.

I am not positive, and will have to check, but i believe we are the only track paying out multiple $10,000 to win traditional sprint shows. Plus additional shows that pay out alot. Not to mention two back to back $10,000 to WoO outlaws shows. Either way we at Lawrenceburg Speedway are proud of our shows and putting on the best possible events. Without the wide array of support from our fans and race teams this would not be possible. We hope to keep building on these bigger events with even bigger purses. We will also continue to have our weekly shows also.

Marv, me being the outsider here, I would look out for "whatever" he might pickup off the street, could be groundhog to be bbq'ed. Fishnman & Mel will look out for ya! Best wishes.

Scott, I think i had all the Argosy buffet's i can handle for a while. :3: Made the mistake and went on a friday night and it was seafood night, big mistake, long long lines.

Same seafood on Wednesday with little or no line. If you want to go on a Friday you need to get there by 5pm. Try the Jonathon's deli upstairs. (corned beef or spicy chicken - excellent sandwhiches.)

I heard a rumor the other day that business was so good (mostly due to Marv) that they are builing a brand new EXPANDED Bob Evans right across the street complete with a Marv Fish dining pavillion "A".

I got booted all the way to section I last week (Pit end) Thats ok, the national guard was there again, Keeping watch over the rowdy section A.

If I was reading BeTwEeN the lines I would guess that the (BIG SPRINT CAR NEWS ) is champ cars at the Burg....????? They are BIG SPRINT CARS......

Straight from the horse's......err, make that the boss' mouth, and I didn't even have to buy breakfast.......yet.

The Dick Gaines Memorial (8/22/09) will now be a 10K to win, USAC sanctioned event. :8::6::8:

I believe that makes three 10K to win events for the traditional sprinters at The 'Burg in '09. :6:

Also fills what had been a void from the end of ISW to the 4-Crown which previously had no USAC sprints on dirt here in the tri-state area.

Dave got my attention by coming in to Bob Evans this a.m. wanting to know where he could park the bus he had filled with folks looking for a free breakfast. :18: After I was revived, it turns out that he was just joshin' and that he had to rush off to a meeting further west.

Again, that's really good news, but it's gonna be a pretty tough haul from Springfield's Silver Crown race over to Lawrenceburg for the race....and Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City ALREADY has a $10,000 to win sprint car race that night which annually draws most of the good sprint car guys. These decisions are getting tougher to make....especially when there are a bunch of weekends this year with no special races at all!! haha
