OFFICIAL Times for This Sunday At Terre Haute

Due to expected inclement weather on Friday May 1st, Action Promotions has decided to postpone the Don Smith Classic to Sunday May 3rd, 2009. The Schedule will be as follows (for this race only).

Race Schedule for Sunday May 3rd, 2009

Ticket Office opens at 1:00 PM

Fan Gates open at 2:00 PM

Hot Laps start at 3:00 PM

** Due to standing water in infield pit area, teams will be pitting at their haulers in back pit area**

If they are going to run the race on Sunday they should start earlier, like the good old days.

Hot laps at noon, qualies at one and racing at two. That way a guy living in Indy could be home by six PM.

Why the late start?

Some people on here would ***** if they won a million dollars because it wasn't 2 million. It must suck to see a negative in everything. Life's too short people....enjoy it. It's not 1950 any more. Move on.

Good choice. Thanks for making the decision and publicizing it so early. That helps those of us who don't live near THAT.

You have to give Dyno Don credit. He has a unique ability. He has the ability to hate races that haven't even happened yet.:5:

For whatever reason DUD is stuck in the 60's. "When Men were Men" etc. Probably thinks The Darland's, Coon's, Stanbrough's, and Cottle's wouldn't be able to compete in that era. We all know that's crap. It's kinda funny to read HIS POST"S and then consider the source. What are the odds he'll be able to construct a proper sentence by Memorial Day?

If they ran earlier in the day and it was so dusty no one could even see the cars go by surely no one would complain.... would they?

How about those of us that are going to church on Sunday morning? With the one hour time difference between Indiana and Illinois, and the just over an hour drive to get to THAT, I should arrive a little before hot laps. I applaud the fact that it is in the afternoon.:8:What happens at 6 PM on Sunday in Indy that you need to be back for?
