Dave is one of the best, might just have to watch the Late Model part of that program.

As much as I hate the tin tops (errr was that MUDCABS) i do have to agree with Chris. We all know the sprinter portion (FOR THE MOST PART) is a high speed parade.

Re: Dave Despain set to anchor WoO broadcast next week!!!
This is just work for Despain, nothing more. He really only cares for the two wheeled variety of racing. I think when he did Thunder, that was just acting on his part. He should have gotten an Emmy for his performance.

Re: Dave Despain set to anchor WoO broadcast next week!!!
I've heard Dispain say he prefers sprintcars without wings over the winged versions.

You know it's going to get someone going, then it's going to lead to you getting all pissy saying you're going to leave. Brownstown runs late models, we all know this, you like em better, great. Dave Despain is one of the better broadcasters that I've seen, and who gives a rip what he loves more, just be happy it's on TV and quit your bitchin'. |

Very nicely said thebus79h. And just think, we can't even call this winter yet, as it hasn't even snowed.

Re: Dave Despain set to anchor WoO broadcast next week!!!
Steve Butler was a motorcycle kinda guy, as I'm sure some others was or is.

Re: Dave Despain set to anchor WoO broadcast next week!!!
I really didnt say anything to try to start trouble, I was just stating the plain fact that Winged Sprints hardly put on any passing.

Re: Dave Despain set to anchor WoO broadcast next week!!!
I like non winged girls. Trish will be here soon.:emote20:

wont argue there is less passing in winged racing, however if a guy were to believe what he heard every non wing race would be spectactular. I have seen quite a few follow the leader non wing races, or ones that look like high speed hot laps. i think statistical analysis (if you made a formula that would account for all passing in a race, over a period of many races) would probably show the passing to be closer than people think with non wing having the edge...but not all wing races are follow the leader. I'll take them both personally.

We'll be there and be happy campers getting to see big names from both classes compete on the same nights. It's all a matter of preference and we happen to like both classes. If the folks in front of us are there for only one class and wander off when the other is on the track...well, then I guess that means we get a little extra leg room for a while. |
Re: Dave Despain set to anchor WoO broadcast next week!!!
I caught the same crappy Late Model race you did in August, youre not going to upset me with that remark. Possibly the worst race ive ever seen.

Re: Dave Despain set to anchor WoO broadcast next week!!!
Too many laps on what will be a hard slickie. Late models and wings aren't my favorite either. But 3 hours of dirt racing in November live and free, hell ya I'm watchin' with a cooler full of beer and a cigar! Life is good:applaud:
By the way Dave is a good man on the mike who knows racing and does his homework.:thumb: |
