Ultimate Race Night???? Your opinion, What cost? What classes?
Having attended the Mopar Million a few years ago. I consider that my Ultimate Race Attended. There was a downside to the Mopar Million, Many early entrant 360 took top billing but the overall show had a huge impact on me to what short track racing could provide.
Im just wondering, Is there a night with THREE CLASSES for BIG MONEY that you would enjoy all three classes, Willing to spend a HUNDRED to A Hundred Fifty BUCKS to make each event a destination for teams, and would expect all the big names for each class to be there? My ultimate race night 1 WOO, Before Steve Retires, With Donny at his peak and Sammy hungery again. 2. USAC National SPrints, Unbeatable for competion! 3 Big Block Modifieds. Track of choice would be the Indiana State Fairgrounds Mile. Your picks? Put it this way, You wouldn't take a Rest Room break durring any racing event, Except in emergency. Hope this is a little different and sparks some interest. Maybe it could be done??????????? |
Re: Ultimate Race Night???? Your opinion, What cost? What classes?
I think a Sprint and Midget Show over 2 days $50,000 to win each race and if anyone sweeps and additional $50,000 for someone that sweeps both events.
at Eldora or Tri State would be willing to pay $100 to $150 total. OR A Triple Crown 3 nights in a row over a holiday weekend or 3 consecutive Saturdays. Eldora, Terre Haute, and Tri State. all Bigger Money Payouts $50,000 to win minimum each night. Would be willing to pay $40 per race. OR We could keep it simple and just simply have The Million again :) |

Re: Ultimate Race Night???? Your opinion, What cost? What classes?
Chuck, I'll take a three day show:
20,000$ to Win all three... 1) USAC/MSCS Sprints 2) USAC/POWERI/BADGER Midgets 3) Lucas Oil/WoO Late Model's Run the Midget's first, Sprints second, let them two blacken' the track up alittie bit and then bring on the Late Model's. Lawrenceburg Speedway:thumb........COST: Whatever Dave says' he needs us to pay....:checkered: P.S...It just can't be the Four Crown format. Feature's every night. Going to a race and not seeing a feature, is like going to a rain out... |

USAC Sprints and Midgets
WOO Late Models at: Farmer City Racway Farmer City Illinois Pay:30k for Sprints and Lates 20k for Midgets 750 to start each Admission: 20 or i like paynters idea except replace outlaws with midgets... i just dont like wings |
Re: Ultimate Race Night???? Your opinion, What cost? What classes?
10,000 each, open show no tire rules, 30 lap midget, 40 lap sprint, 50 lap lates. The reason for 10 is it would draw the large teams and smaller teams.
Midgets Non Wing Sprints Late models TRI STATE or BLOOMINGTON good track prep at both and lots of passing at both. I would pay 75 to a 100 to watch.:checkered: |

How about a race where they run 25 laps non wing and then 25 with the wing. Points from each decide the overall winner. The heats/qualifying would be difficult, but some format could be workable. Get enough sponsorship money, maybe even TV, to get the best Outlaws, USAC, ASCS, CRA, or any other drivers to want to be part of it. Eldora or Terre Haute would be my choice for the event.
