I don't like the fact they shortened the winners share to $5K and the race to 40 laps. Anyways the race in Sept is still the same 50 laps for $10K so that's the one I definitely want to be at.

1. Any night at Haubstadt. MSCS/Powri double header on July 4th should be a good one.

2. Any night at Belle-Clair. I haven't been there since May of 06 but I vow to return this year and I know the Powri midgets rock at that place.

3. Hulman Classic @ THAT Thurs. May 21st

4. USAC Sprints @ Knoxville Sun. Aug. 9th

5. Never been to Kokomo but the Jack Hewitt Classic in June should be a good one.

Copper on Dirt at Manzy - Feb. 20th & 21st

All the regular open wheel races at Manzy I can catch before heading east & this year I will also attend as many late model races as possible since the friends I go racing with have changed divisions.

USAC Silver Crown Race at Oswego - Aug. 5th & 6th

International Classic at Oswego - Labor Day Weekend

Re: 2009 places to be

1. Kokomo almost any Sunday night.
2. Gold Crown Nationals at Granite City.
3. Manzy/Vegas/Perris the next two weeks.
4. Haubstadt-MSCS $10,000 & practically everything else.
5. MSCS for $10,000 at Jacksonville
6. The unexpected one. Somewhere, probably in Indiana, there will be at least one truly memorable race which is not one of the above. Will it be Gas City, Bloomington, the Burg, THAT, Paragon, Anderson, IRP, where? That's why I keep coming over to Indiana, I just never know when and where. Perhaps Danville or someplace else during Illinois Sprint Week. Or Little Belleville.

2 POWRi midgets at Belle-Clair
3 POWRi midgets at Belle-Clair

I like watching the POWRi midgets at Belle-Clair. I like watching them there so much, that I quit my job last year when my boss wouldnt give me time off to go watch the Arnie Knepper Memorial race.
