Where is Everyone Going?

Where will all of you be this weekend? I'll be at Gas City for the Jack Himelick Fall Final tonight, the 'Burg for the $10k to win MSCS show tomorrow, and, after a quick AM stop at the IMS museum Sunday morning, at Anderson for the USAC Kenyon and Ford Focus midgets. Hope to see many of you at one or all of them.:thumb:

Gas City only for me.

A friend is getting married tomorrow so I can't make the Burg. I hate when people don't check with me when they set dates for things. Nothing from April to October. There's also a week in January that is blacked out. :)

Seems to me you need to rearrange your priorities.

Wedding, Racing. No brainer it is RACINNG.

I have missed several weddings because of racing and my friends that really know me understand.

Goin' to Da' Burg.

Gas City tonight and tomorrow Miami County Speedway for the Outlaw 600's. Went to this show last year and it was great.

Have to shake things up a bit you know.

Gotta work on Saturday, but can't wait for Granite City on Sunday. First time at the new 3/8. I've heard great things about it. I will miss the half, though.

An all sprint weekend. We're going to Gas City and then The Burg. My guess is 50+ car counts, both nights.

Gas City & the 'burg. Doubt if you get more than 35 cars Saturday, they are offering too much money, if it were $1200 to win there would be 80 :rolling:

Totally agree on that. I've gotten out of a few in the past for racing purposes. Just wasn't going to work this time.

I guess it's gonna be the Queen's Royale at Farmington for me on Sat.:loser: Haven't been there this year and I feel the need to maintain my social graces there lol! Sure wish it was on a different weekend this year as I would love to hit Belle-Clair! I cut down my racing schedule this year by almost half and did not get to see as many midget events as I wanted to dang it!

Where the heck were you in 1961? On August 4, 1961 A.J. Foyt won a USAC Midget feature at Lawrenceburg. I missed it because I was at a wedding rehearsal 4 miles up the road in Elizabethtown, OH. I swear I could hear those Offy 110's purring as I was being told where to stand to say "I Do". That marriage never had a chance though it did last 13 years. Turned out that Mrs. FB #1 loved racing too but had very little use for me. It's all good though. Mrs. FB of the past 32 years doesn't go racing with me. Just tells me to "have a good time but don't get dirty". Then takes great care of me when I get home. Much better this way, doncha think? :wink1:

I'll be at Belle-Clair and Tri City this weekend. Should be a ton of micros at Belleville. I believe that last year for the October show, over 60 of the winged 600cc outlaws showed up. There are a couple of $500 to win micro shows going on in Charleston, IL and Peru, IN Saturday night, but I honestly don't think they'll hurt Belleville's count too badly. Plus Farmington, MO isn't running the micros this week, so that should help.

You've been married 32 years. I've been married 32 years. My wife says have fun and be careful while yours says something similar. Coincidence? I think not.

I'm hoping that the new Mrs. Hoover learns from our wives, Mr. MF.

See y'all at the 'burg.

Thanks...but I was just trying to make the point that at the burg, just because they are paying 10K and several good drivers will be on hand, that doesnt mean they won't have many cars...but thanks for the correction :). Just tryin to make a point...

I have to chime in on this one, my wife and I have been married for 31 years, and she tells me to have fun while I am out racing, she calls it "male bonding" She tries to wait up on me, always leaves the light one and wants to know race results when I get home.:thumb:

Hi Everybody,
I know most of you will be at the Burg but I'm headed to Bellville,Il & TriCity for the Powri-midgets.
I hope theres no rain as its been plenty warm up here.
Any of you going to do the 2 day Kokomo Klash? It would be worth the trip if the weather holds as thats gonna be it for open wheel here in the midwest till 2008.
No work scheduled so I'm there!
Hope I see some of ya.
Your friend Rich

Rich,

I'll look for you at Belle-Clair and Tri-City! Supposed to be record heat; an appropriate way to end the season. Don't know if I'll do Kokomo or not. If I do, it would only be for one day.

If you need one more open wheel fix before the winter indoor stuff starts, the POWRi micros final show of the season is Oct. 20 at Wayne City Speedway.
