I watched on Flo. Would be at all these other tracks if I could. Still plan on Burg an Circle City. Going as long as long as they're not cancelled early.

Yeah crazy, Great Crowd and Car Count, Hope it keeps up. Hope Stevie is going to be ok.

I used to make at least four every year, now Im lucky to make two.

Was just sharing info. There's lots to do within a hour of the track too.

Has anybody heard an update? Hope the driver of the van is ok. The sheer craziness of it made me wonder if there was a medical episode involved. I hate it for everyone. Hate that track owners had to get that involved. … and they had to! Scared for D that there could be a very serious underlying health condition. Best wishes to all.

What happened?

Chief Wahoo 7/29/24 7:48 PM

Re: Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY Lawrenceburg USAC SPRINT WEEK

He might be referring to the Kokomo thread, where a midget team made a wrong turn and was about to drive onto the track while cars were under caution.

Don’t know why but he seemed to be unable to back it up as directed and just kinda froze. Started to come down the chute again before someone had to physically get in and back it out for him. They had medical checking him out in the pits before he’d be allowed to leave. The whole thing was just bizarre.

It's pack the track night at the Burg, Pit's packed with Sprint Cars and Butts in every seat.

See ya there!

I hope you get it in, for the promoter's, fans and teams sake. Cluster of storms in ILL headed toward S Indiana.

I love the Burg, and I don't want to see big tracks go away. Sprint cars were made to be run on big tracks and stretch their legs, drivers need high speed experience. Running sprints on micro tracks is a farce. Tired of the "track is too big, too fast, too hard on my stuff" crap.

This cluster won’t get anywhere near the Burg.

I have been watching the weather today and I agree. The rain isn't going to be anywhere near Larryburg

Charles Nungester 7/30/24 12:35 PM

Re: Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY Lawrenceburg USAC SPRINT WEEK

Future cast shows any storms going elsewhere.
The chance that a cloud will build up strength somewhere close and dump is never out of the question.

We've been dry since about five am.
Took the dogs out this morning to several limbs and trees around here down, But Im Fifty miles east. Some areas without power. Got woken three times by storms.

I'll see ya all down there. My choice of Front or backstretch will be made if my pops can make it.

Try the food. He's got pizza back (Haven't tried,) Pretzel dogs, And a killer Cheeseburger equivalent of a wendys double for FIVE BUCKS.

Charles Nungester 7/30/24 11:33 PM

Re: Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY Lawrenceburg USAC SPRINT WEEK

Thanks everyone for coming down. It wasn't a killer crowd, But it was a good crowd

Think the goal was to just keep the track from getting rough. been several storms the last few days.. Was a cushion you could have sat on like a bench right up on the wall.

Don't know if I should be honored to watch Seavey work or not. He goes for it. All I'll say. We need some TMEZ to come down and whoop him :)

Dirtfan 7/30/24 11:51 PM

Glad this race happened, with the previous administration I doubt if it would've.
Interesting feature to watch, hard racing, slide jobs and yes, crashes.
Driver taking ownership in something they created, now that's a rarity.
Just so you know Charles,we tried the cheeseburger,it was very tasty as advertised. However the Dewigg Double Cheeseburger @ The Class Track is still at the top of our list.
Off to Circle City.🏁🏁

Kinda hard to beat beef straight from the butcher shop. sadly not many around here.

Blitzman 7/31/24 7:05 AM

Good racing on the track.
But what a lackluster crowd. Promoter took a beating at the gate. Applause the track & USAC to refund tickets from Sunday’s rainout, way it sounded from the Facebook post. Maybe just the online tickets sold. Making people rebuy tickets at the gate.

Sad to see an extreme low turnout of fans on a rain date sprintweek race. Thought Indiana was suppose to have a “great” USAC fan base. Well that’s overhyped. Lol

What are you talking about, If you were there, You'd of seen it was a good crowd. Really filled in before features.

Thanks to all the cars who came down. (39) Awesome to see a full show at Da Burg.

The people beside me were from Mo. Telling me about the self destrction of Powri and how some tracks have many classes of Micro's and by the time they're 16 they're veteran racers like Xavier Doney.

People behind me were from Ft Wayne sad about loss of GC.

I have one question. I thought losing a wheel cover was a penalty. Is that only if it causes a cautions. Just wondering.

Since when does USAC enforce penalties or rules?:17:

Penalty is a fine per 2024 USAC Rulebook (see Wheels, Section I).
