Eldora weather???

I have plane tix to hit "Lets Race 2" at Eldora... Weather isn't looking so good
Who's got the magic? :11:

Pancho Stapp 4/29/24 3:24 PM

I live due west of The Big “E” across the state line my drive is 50 minutes. As of now Friday has a 40% chance of rain increasing to 50% by evening. Saturday is the same but the percentages get better at 25% for Saturday night. I hope your trip is successful and you get to enjoy the races. I will be there both nights. Section I on Friday and Section J on Saturday, the three tier bleachers as you walk in above the concrete grandstand.

I will be starting my way back there Thursday planes , trains , and automobiles haha plan to be at Eldora by 2 pm. Friday
Hope we get both days in and then Heading over to the BIG cars at Winchester Sunday and weather looks very nice.

Who knows if that race gets done by 4pm might make the drive down to Terre Haute for the Sunday night show.

All weather permitting of course

I was camped at Kokomo for four days last week and didn't see any races. Plan on driving the long 10 mile trip to Eldora for another try. If it rains I will still have a good time with friends.

Not only weather to talk about but also whether the car count will be good. Some on the Twitter were worried about the wing count as High Limit is running I believe in Kanas or Oklahoma. Usually this is a pretty well attended race as far as participants. What’s your thoughts?

It has been a few years, but a couple of times I have shot racing at both Winchester and Kokomo on the same day. . . . worth the grind.

Where are you getting your weather reports?

PIT CART 4/30/24 3:01 PM

I live in northeast Indiana and won’t look at the weather until 2:00 on Friday. I’m sure it’s going to change every day between now and then. 🏁🍺

jmamcd 4/30/24 4:26 PM

Winchester Silver Crown scheduled to start at 3 PM.

I wish I lived close enough to have that option
Plane fares & $$$ make it more complicated

Weather Channel App, i have various cities/towns in my favorites. Friday has now went up to 76% for the evening. Saturday is only showing 24% during the day increasing to 40% at night. Still early things can definitely change for the better or worse. 🤞🏼

Car count will be fine. I’d be surprised if there is 40 but 30+ is my guess.

Pancho Stapp 5/2/24 7:10 AM

Fridays forecast is 80% rain thru the day drops to 60% Friday night expecting a quarter inch. Saturday looks good at 24%.

Not to mention the High Limit race pays 50 K to win on Saturday.

30 is enough for a good show. Weather could not only be a factor in Ohio, but also in the plains as well.

The race is at Lakeside Speedway which is in Kansas City, KS. The weather forecast for Friday is marginal, and the forecast for Saturday is bad. We have also had a lot of moisture the last couple of weeks. The ground is pretty saturated. Hoping the weather God's smile on us.

Pancho Stapp 5/3/24 11:24 AM

Standing outside taking it all in and looks like Mother Nature may play nice tonight. Rain chances dropped down to 30% at 2pm and gets lower as the night progresses. 👍🏼🍻🍺🏁

Very confusing.... I figured it was gonna rain Friday, so I changed my plans to just go Saturday (& Winchester Sunday)
Now it looks like it might not be so good Saturday :(
We'll see....

It is indiana, remember, although I spent 2 years in DC and it was much like indiana there as I recall, although about an inch of snow could bring them to their knees

Our racing family will be in house tonight at Eldora. Looking forward to having a great time and making some great Kodak moments and life time memories together again. Have fun at all the racing events this weekend. God bless America. Go Blu. Thanks ❤️.
