Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
Havent been to Florence for some time. Another carrot on a string

Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
If I read this schedule correctly:
Throw out the two race nights at the Kings Royal time and the two nights at the Four Crown, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, are left with four races total. I know FAST is going to sanction Ohio Sprint Speedweek, but this series is taking the place of the All Stars? What a huge gap. |
Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
Hoping the open date in September is Putnamville

I’d love to see the Sept 25 TBA date be Brownstown.

Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
Except that's not the Kings Royal, That's the HBO.
The WoO have the Kings Royal Fri and Sat. Don't think they'll skip a shot at 175K Either way, Smoke wins. |
Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
Last winged Sprint race I seen at Florence Jeff Gordon won and it was USAC winged. and his first USAC sprint win,
The Wed or thru TBD date before Florence should be Burg :) |
May 31 would be great at Lawrenceburg.

I hate to say it, but I think the big loser in all of this are the fans. Especially of Ohio and Western PA.

I guess that "weekday filler" thing has become full competition with WoO.... plenty of Friday & Saturday events :23:

Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
The Night before Butler on Friday, May 31st I hope is Hartford Speedway in Michigan. Their grandstands are certainly big enough to host a show and the fans there usually support the big National tours there with darn near full capacity crowds.
P.S. I know it's just my opinion, but I hate they shortened the 1/2-mile track to a so called 3/8's. It's still bigger than a 3/8's. It was never a 1/2 mile. It was a 5/8's. Before they shortened the track, I had a sprint car clocked at 150mph just past the flag stands on the old track a number of years back |
Sandy, I’ve been told that Eldora is actually in Indiana and Sharon is in Pennsylvania. Also Nate I never heard the big track at Hartford called a half. Everyone I’ve ever talked to about it called it a 5/8th’s

However, I-96 Speedway DID have a smaller quarter mile infield track prior to all of this that worked just fine. I watched a All Star Sprint race there one night when the big track could not have been run in due to too much rain earlier in the day. Circa 1996, I think. Joey Saldana won it driving for Art Wendt. |

Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
I just noticed that the series is now called Kubota High Limit Racing. When did Kubota come aboard?
Next up: Tuesday Night at Riverside in Arkansas. Never saw anything from this place. Looking forward to it. |

I went to a WoO race there many years ago and still say it was one of the most disappointing tracks I’ve been too, I’ve seen tackier gravel roads! And the track security told me I’d be safe tent camping there that weekend with the bigger crowd but he wouldn’t recommend it on a regular weekend. |
Re: High Limit Sprints Car Series - 2024 Schedule
I went to the Ditch many years ago. It was unbelievably tacky. I have seen it a few times the last 3 or 4 years. It seems to be packed a lot harder than it used to be. I would still go back.
