Re: The Outlaws
You are right, I didn't look hard enough. Sadly I also only seen Rick run like twice. The other two, dozens of times.

The Ohio Traveler, Rick Ferkel, my all time favorite

Re: The Outlaws
I've seen this photo on FB. All are legends including Ted Johnson, not nearly as popular as the drivers but the man had a vision and created the greatest show on dirt. Like the Outlaws or not they are still the heavyweight champions of sprint car racing. Congrats Ted!

Re: The Outlaws
Manzanita speedway Arizona I believe...

Had to have been at the first race of the year… pristine body work and graphics on all 3 cars. I was thinking that it was taken at East Bay at the first race of the year, but that was over 40 years ago, and my memory isn’t as good as it used to be. 😁 February of 79? Back when the promoters choice if it was going to be wing or non wing, first couple of years of the world of outlaws races were about 50-50 on wing and non-wing. They were always wing shows at Eldora. Lawrenceburg was non wing.

Re: The Outlaws
Tim, you are correct. That photo shoot was at East Bay in Gibsonton, FL, on the practice day before the 4-day show in February. I was even able to snap a few shots myself while they were still posed with their cars.
