Wingless High Limit
Hey guys if I win the Mega Millions lottery I'm thinking about starting a wingless High Limit Series like Kyle and Brad did. What do y'all think about that? Of course the odds are about 1 in 300 million so there's that.

Heck yes!! On top of that, I’ve always wanted to have that JWHunt type of love and philanthropy to the sport. The only thing consistent about how i give my money away will be how inconsistently I do it. Free tire
one night, $2023 the next night, to $100,000 the weekend after. Maybe $700 for quick time after that- or $100 to every driver in the pits across all classes that night. Dunno. Just something different every night. 😂 😆 |
Re: Wingless High Limit
What tracks are you going to run at? And what night?
|
Re: Wingless High Limit
all 3/8ths and bigger. THAT, BURG, Knox, Eldora, Port, Perris, Stoga. I-70 and Lakeside.
$20,240 to win $ 2,024 to start Thursday nights. THUNDER! |
There’s plenty of experts here to help you run this series. I’m sure it would be extremely successful with all of their input. What I’ve gathered with all the comments are as follows:
-Track prep will be on point every night, plenty of experts here on how to prepare a track -Open tire rule -Cars must be of color and not primarily black -No rental rides allowed -Four heat races will not be allowed, ever -Black eyes are allowed until someone does it then it’s illegal -Everyone gets a trophy -Start times will not be dependent on track curfew and getting fans and racers out at a reasonable time My real question is, will the 2H be allowed in competition and what will the B main pay? |
All IN tracks, this is IN Open Wheel, and reward the most passionate non-wing fans.
A better idea than starting a new series would be to partner with USAC and bolster their purses. |
Re: Wingless High Limit
No wraps, Each car has to be painted with either silver or gold leaf numbers.

All cars must be towed on an open trailer, behind a 72 Chevy truck that smokes a bit.
I saw Joey Allen with the above setup at Williams Grove WoO race and go out and set fast time..... |

Re: Wingless High Limit
If non-wing sprint cars are a thing, then how come midgets aren't called "non-wing midgets"?

Re: Wingless High Limit
After the XR Late Model Series $100k race at Kokomo in June, it made me wish XR would do something similar for sprint cars (the kind without a wing). I love fantasy booking race schedules, so here’s what I came up with.
XR Traditional Sprints 2024 February 10 - All Tech Raceway $20k March 30 or April 6 - Atomic Speedway $20k May 11 - Tri-City Speedway or Red Hill Raceway $20k June 10 - Kokomo Speedway $50k July 6 - Brownstown Speedway $20k August 10 - Paragon Speedway $20k September 7 - Wilmot Raceway $20k October 19 - Lucas Oil Speedway $50k Before anyone says it - this is a fantasy schedule. It includes some tracks that host USAC, so those places probably would not jeopardize their relationship with USAC to have an XR race if this were a real series. It also includes some tracks in areas that are home to other series like POWRi, BOSS, Wisconsin Wingless, etc. I didn’t include an east coast track but somewhere like Lincoln or BAPS would be an addition to the tracks visited on the eastern storm tour. This has no chance of ever happening so I guess I can add whatever tracks I want. |
Andrew, Lee Brewer Jr., did it on an Open Trailer for awhile & Won the Knight Before the Kings Royal in late 80s or early 90s.
