Midget racing returns to Osgood-
Thursday July 27th during the 4-H fair!!

For the first time in some years, Midgets return to Ripley County Indiana during the 4-H and community fair flanked by Pure Stocks and Hornets!! Come during the day to enjoy the young folks' hard work in animals and exhibits, stay that evening for some great racing.

-D2 Midgets/Lightning Sprints
-Pure Stocks
-Hornets

Hot Laps at 6:30
Racing at 7:00

Racers notes:
Drivers meeting at 6:15
-D2 Midgets: although not sanctioned by USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets, their rule set will be followed with one exception- chain drive cars will be afforded an open tire rule to more closely align with current usage. Rules available at usacracing.com - Midwest thunder speed2 rules
- Pure Stocks and Hornets will follow Lawrenceburg rule set.

Haulers enter off of W. Fairgrounds Ave, turn at Casey's fuel station.

I sense a disturbance in the force with the Racing families.

No disturbance at all Chuck. The promoter (who has been promoting for years) wanted to bring some open wheel racing back to the Osgood track. They reached out to RHR for some help and this is what they have come up with.

Osgood used to be a really fun track back in my TQ days so I’m excited to watch my boy race there.

Two more days! Looking like great weather for covered stands and track is looking nice!

I had my car on display at the Napoleon Fire Dept.'s annual picnic this past weekend with flyers attached to try to drum up some more local interest.

This being close to where I grew up, I'd really like to see it take off. Maybe a revolving thing between Ripley, Decatur, and Bartholomew Co. fairgrounds?

A mix, as I'll be there with at least one lighting sprint.

Like #9 says, a mix. d2 Midget rulesets always include 1000cc cars.

Thanks Casey, just wanted to get it out for all to see, I as well liked running there, usually a well prepared track, be interesting to see how it works out since the horsey folks left!

I ran karts there twice since the horse intervention, and it was definitely different. I'm certainly hopeful that we can put on a good show this evening.

Any reports from Osgood last night, pretty warm there as well, but, hopefully it was a good time all together.

Hot!
Shade definitely helped in the stands, but lack of breeze did not.

After they recovered the track from the mud sling the night before with limited equipment, it ended up pretty racey by feature time. NO DUST! Decent crowd in the stands, reasonable entries for a sweltering Thursday night. A few small delays, but once it got rolling, it went pretty smooth.
