Friend’s, the best Sprint Week in the world commences this week. As of now we have Gas City and Kokomo on our attendance list, and possibly a race or 2 the second half! Let’s Go!

I miss making three or four of these every year. and for this year all Im positive on making if family member is doing ok is Burg, I will attempt to get to Circle City if the same holds true. Pushing it on time and distance, but really want to make it. Plus only dirt track in Indiana running sprints, I've never been too.

Best place to sit, best eats etc at Circle City?

Stephen Cording 7/17/23 10:34 AM

After missing a few years thanks to COVID we'll be flying in as per normal.

Hopefully no races will have a half way red flag fuel & tires stop ha ha ha

And none of the cars will have a garage door on the roof !!

Everyone joking and picking on the Eldora half way red flag and fuel tires stop. What sprint week track will have 25,000 plus fans? Based on the Big E record crowds, I'd say the winged fans didn't mind. Same with Husets. Same with Knoxville when their Nationals come. Why doesn't everyone just let it go, quit comparing and complaining. Looking forward to this weekend.

Charles,

Best places to sit are up high or at least in second section of stands going toward turn one. Don't sit low, still rocks flying off track. All their food is good with pulled pork and tenderloins probably the best.

I’m going to Terre Haute and the end of the week
Can’t come soon enough

I hope all who attend have a good week and good weather. I also hope for big crowds and car counts.

And bring someone with you to the race.

Circle city has become one of my fav places due to how nice it is, run the TQ there a decent bit. Rocks are much better this year but still see a few. Part of stands have a much higher area that’s good. We’re usually a little closer to 4 so we can get back to pits easier. I think we’re gonna try to hit Kokomo even though it’s a bit of drive, haven’t made it up there this season and it’s my def favorite to watch sprint cars at. Lawrenceburg is closest but the worst track of the schedule in my opinion, track prep is always awful/non existent.

I’d sit as high as you can. It’s a small track so there’s not really a bad seat in the house. I typically sit up by the press box. Restrooms and concessions are easy to get to and nice. I hope you’re able to make it.

I agree that the rock situation is MUCH better than it was. I really hope this racetrack does well and sticks around for the long haul.

I have Circle City circled on my schedule (is that proper grammar?). Maybe we'll run into each other, Charles. I am real easy to find. I'll be wearing a hat.

flagboy55, I'll get back to you via e-mail if I head to Gas City. Kokomo on Saturday is out though, my friend.

Pancho Stapp 7/18/23 8:57 AM

My group is fired up and ready!! Stopping at liquor store and snag some 30 packs and a bottle bourbon after work. Only thing left is to figure out the menu for the grill and smoker. Tidy up the honey-do list for the wife and then it’s on like donkey kong!! Cya all at the track 🍻🍺🏁

I have the truck and camper ready!! Starting at Winchester and going all the way through to Haubstadt. I am excited as it will be my first time to some of these tracks and first time in a long time to some more.

I start my drive up tomorrow. Hitting all of them. Getting tough on these old bones at the start because I have been lazy this past year. . . but I will handle it. I always do. . .

We got 2 newbies in tow. Still green to sprint car racing. One made Smackdown last year and the other did some IMW with us. Broke them in to some pavement this year at the Little 500. I try my best to grow the sport, my son is the same way.

racefanindy 7/21/23 10:50 AM

I’m planning to get to Gas City, Lawrenceburg, Circle City, Putnamville and Bloomington. I haven’t been to Bloomington for over a decade. Looking forward to see the grandstand redo. I’ve read you can take lawn chairs like Putnamville? 🏁

If you're early enough..

racefanindy 7/21/23 11:16 AM

…also saw a post earlier this week with general info about all the ISW races. But I can’t find it now. Does anyone know if the Gas City exit off I69 is open? Thanks.

jmamcd 7/21/23 11:31 AM

The Gas City exit northbound on I-69 is open. I used it last night. I think the southbound exit is also open.

Read on Facebook/Twitter that they have had 32 cars commit to running the entire week. With that as a base, it should be great car counts all week and a great points battle.

Pancho Stapp 7/21/23 1:53 PM

Been here about an hour now and just kicking it under the awning. Snagged our seats and getting ready to crack a cold one!! Everyone enjoy the show whether you’re here or not. If ya see me give the long hair in the TMez gear a shout🍻🍺🏁

That's low. The purse is up and there's some good point funds and bonus's and a non inflated gate compared to reg usac shows. SO I hope all that can make it will be there. Really enjoy the four heat, consi and feature format. The three heat deal don't get it .

Have fun, Be safe, I'll see ya at two (One new to me track) and let's ROLL!

That's actually the most all-time full-timers. Tonight's car count of 58 was the largest for Indiana Sprint Week in 18 years - since the Gas City round in 2005.

I was kinda meaning for number of cars that usually show up. It varies, I realize this. But you're right, You always are :)

if we can get 32 or more for every track including THAT and Burg, I'll be more than happy.
