Lots of great racing memories of the "Pup". The Vandermark and Wahle ride was one of the most beautiful sprinters ever, Right up with the Fridgedare, Kodiak and Staab Ford sprinters.

I haven't seen a Wrap that could touch em in looks and you could see the sponsors clearly, not blended in with a bunch of graphics.

Racing was better last night; more side by side in the 410 feature.
I don’t remember Bloomington ever having an intermission before. I wonder why that occurred.
Don’t know who the new announcer is, but he did a pretty good job.
First time I’ve seen fireworks without the huge explosion at the end.

Any problem with the lights after the fireworks?

cmiracingvids 6/17/23 12:50 PM

It actually took a while for the lights to come back on…but they did. And yea…no big boom at the end. What’s up with that?!?

The track was really good. Nice cushion and still could roll the bottom. Braxton Cummings and Harley Burns had a heck of a race. Both those drivers have made huge strides this year. It’s been fun to watch!

No
It always takes a few minutes for them to come back on.
I’m wondering if the promoter intends to push his program as close as possible to the eleven o’clock curfew as possible. The track always has had a curfew, but it didn’t seem to be enforced. I guess neighbors are complaining more.

I think the intermission was for them to wait til it got dark for the fireworks and also because they wanted to run the 305 feature first and the b mains had just finished. So they gave those guys a few minutes to get ready for the a main. The intermission wasn’t bad at all. Like 10 minutes at the most. They had hornets too, but only 6 showed up. So they didn’t take up as much time as maybe they thought they might.
