Sad Day, We lost Allen Barr

Know there's more info out there. Just a FYI and a big R.I.P for someone who's been part of my racing life (But never knew personally) for over fifty years in some form or another. but mostly as driver.

History mystery man did a great interview with him. Definitely worth watching on YouTube. Rest In Peace 🙏🏁

A nice article in the Columbus Republic (March 13, 2021) about Allen after he was inducted into the HARF Hall of Fame.

I too saw the history mystery man’s video of Allen Barr. He seemed like a really cool person and a great racer. I feel he should be in the sprint car hall of fame. RIP.

Can't say I knew of him, but NSSN had nice write up too

I was at Paragon this fall and they had a tribute night to him. It was a rainout and they were doing the interview with him during the rain delay and after the race was called. He had some good stories but unfortunately folks were leaving, no one’s fault but the tribute just didn’t seem fitting. I do give Paragon credit for the effort.

Allen is also in the Karl Kinser and I think Steve kinser interviews with History Mystery Man.

I remember him most in the blue and white 66 at burg 70s-80s which was well into his career, he later graded the track for Staab when Greg promoted it. He stayed involved for decades R.I.P Mr. Barr.

Thank you all, from Owen Barr
