Hopefully the “ different direction “ means there will be racing in 2023.

Re: That
Hopefully the fair board will be able to bring someone in. With the improvements that this group made, I would think a replacement wouldn't be too hard to find. Unless the board is hard to work with, and can't come to a reasonable contract.

Re: That
Track Enterprises/ Bob Sargeant is coming back...and the "TBA" on USAC's schedule are THAT shows

TE kept it's dates last year but at a different track. At least TE has a promotions dept. Usually get half a dozen or more promotion flyers, here, FB, Twitter and Im sure locally. Thanks for the Armco! Best of luck to TE or whoever gets it. Hope someone does. |
My question was a joke. I'll be there if parking was 20 bucks and beers were 10! April can't get here soon enough.

Hopefully Ronk & Bernie get money back from the improvements they put into the facility. If not, they should take all the guardrail & any fencing they bought with them. Let the track owners & next promoter figure out what to do with the outside walls. Just my .02.

I will validate Oppweld’s opinion. He would be there for sure!

3, obviously you missed Oppweld’s clarification. It was a joke. But seriously, he travels all around the country and collects beer and I bring beer from our local brewery and we share and enjoy. Obviously you’re not understanding to camaraderie at a race track

last year I saw people toting in 12 packs and even cases of beer at I-96 in Michigan. They went under again. I love that track. Probably not the only reason but it didn't help them not getting some revenue off alcohol sales.

It might be cheaper to walk away than to remove the new guardrail/fencing and put something else in its place. |
Re: That
Unless you get it in writing. All improvements you make under lease remain
Why you don't see a lot of improvements at many leased tracks, Unless the owner puts up the $$ Your investing in something that may not be yours next lease period. |

Terre Haute is a different animal. The Speedway and Action Track are the just about the only open wheel tracks left with an infield friendly to race fans. Been that way forever. A good compromise would allow for coolers, can beer and fried chicken in the infield.
