Next USAC president election.

When is the next Usac president ********? Does anybody know? Looking for a little help on how it works and when the next one is. I figure the president is in charge of all things Usac but I’m only concerned with the circle track series. If someone can help me out as I’m essentially an outsider on this board and not in the know of Usac operating procedure.

If the the ******** is soon I’d like to be the first to nominate Chad Kemenah for the position. The response he gave to the continued theatrics about tires the current team in charge has put out shows me he is a person who understands racing and can seperate its ********. He may not be a mainstay runner in Usac racing, but then again what racing has the current president or his underlings done??? Kemenah is a multi time champion of racing, and understands the product on the track. Again I’m only interested in the president and his people in place in the circle track series.
Thank you

******** oh my,I just voted Tuesday,wait a minute that was a different ********.
Not sure I remember @ ******** of USAC President, will there be any testing involved similar to the tire testing debacle?
Votes will be counted till the right
individual is elected.LMAO

Yeleyfan76, I certainly wouldn’t call you an outsider on this board. I love your opinion whether I agree or not. Different opinions make the world go around, or in this case the car. As far as electing officials, I sure wish I was a younger man with loose roots. I would happily have taken the challenge. I too saw Chad’s post about the tire deal. And in principle I don’t necessarily disagree. I’m of the opinion that they saw enough reasonable doubt to spend money and time to get it right. You can call me a USAC homer if you want, and I’ll gladly accept that title as we discuss it over a couple beers. I look at it as a second opinion. Sometimes you have to check to make sure the original diagnosis is correct.

I take no sides here, seen a couple that said that usac proved it's case. while others are convinced a few cheated.

My question is, Are they still going to use the original lab? they just laid out a new appeals policy

Yeleyfan 76. You spend way too much time on social media, it clouds your thinking. Makes you delusional. Whether you like the current guy, you have to admit USAC has grown under his watch. Please try to fix something else. If you hate USAC so much, why do you care? Surely there is something out there that you like, or maybe you just like to complain.

You ain't getting rid of Kevin Miller anytime soon: he brings in way too much money for USAC in endeavors outside of the Circle Track Division. The board of directors love him.

On a side note, it disappoints me that there are veteran posters who deride others for using this board for which it was meant: conversation. No wonder I gotta go to the RACER comments section for halfway decent discourse these days. :15:

If your speaking of me, I am all for discussions. When you constantly complain and add nothing positive. I don't mind calling someone out. I try to look at making a positive effect on the sport. i don't try to drag it down. Find some where that I have put a track or sanctioning body down. I actually want it to do better. Its doing about as good as I have seen since I have been going. If you weren't referring to me, my bad. Hate I have to miss the Burg tomorrow.

I think YeleyFan76 had a little sarcasm in his post...I enjoy his comments and blunt honesty. I know him a little bit and I can answer all those wondering why does he just NOT go away? Its because he cares about the sport and is concerned about the direction of it when it comes to the National Touring Sprint Car Series in question.

USAC Code of By-Laws

I thank you for posting this link, as I’m sure it will provide me the information I’m seeking in regards to elections. As I stated I don’t know about how those things work at Usac.

I truly would love to ask my mother for help in understanding anything that doesn’t make sense, but since I lost her to cancer a few years ago that will be impossible. I’m sure you now can picture someone with both middle digits raised claiming you are number one. You know nothing about me.

Thank you for clearing up the fact that Miller is going nowhere. I didn’t know how good he is at making money for Usac in everything BUT the circle track series. That is why my initial post was written with this concern. I’ll take your word and wish he would use all of these skills to get his series to make WoO type money not just a little better than a couple of years ago.

OK, here goes nothing. How do you expect them to do that?

Funk. As I told ur buddy opnwhlmnd you know nothing about me. #1 This board and another racing board are the only social media that I ever engage in. #2 A delusional person would be someone trying to achieve unattainable things. Nothing I have stated is unattainable it just has not happened (in my view) with Usac. #3 I do not like the current guy because of the way he treated Gregg Staab and my original 2 encounters with him proved unsatisfactory. It has been stated by others on here that he has done wonders for Usac in many realms. I don’t see this magic in the circle track division. Yes they have more higher paying shows than when he started, but how long ago was that and why can’t he get WoO type money for these guys? #4 You say I hate Usac. Refer to the first line of this post. I care because I know I’m not the only person with similar opinions. You clearly don’t agree and that’s fine.

As for your decision to portray me as delusional and a complainer. Whether you realize it or not, I’ve met you on four different occasions. Three of the four you were a stumbling drunk, the other I’d give a pass and say maybe the heat got you as it was one of those sauna like ISW shows that we get at Lawrenceburg. You are portrayed as some folk hero, all I see is a drunk who loves to tell stories about the old days. Just like I stated in line one of this post, you don’t know me. I really don’t know you either but what I have seen, helped me form this opinion. You immediately fired back at another post about people using this board to attack people because of opinion difference. By doing that I’d think you had a guilty conscience. Suffice it to say we do not agree on much about sprint car racing. That’s ok. Maybe we both will get lucky. You can have the same old same old. I can have non wing guys making WoO type money, not watching single car TT, and go on with life.

It wasn't you, but you did "like" the post. And I know that you are the last person that would drag this sport down. :32:

We all have rehashed the different scenarios Charles. It comes down to more money to get in by us and more promotion/sponsorship work by them.

I think there is a big reason most tracks can't host a WoO show and many not able to host a All Star show

I mean, who would of ever thunk only three weekends with sprints at Eldora. (Now two, this one's cancelled)

Well I haven't had a drink in over 2 years for health reasons, so it has been a while since I met you. I only drink at the races, and only about between 9 and 12 times a year the last 8 or 9 years, so sorry you caught me having fun. The Outlaws don't get those guys more money the tracks do. Several of their big events existed fine with out them. I think they are in a very good place, so good for them. The best way to get more money is to put butts in seats, and tracks will pay accordingly. I am not sure if there is room at the high paying tracks for more higher paying shows. I wish there was. We just keep buying tickets and support the higher paying shows that we do have.

I have spoken to 4 different promoters that I am friends with this week. Two are outside of Indiana. They don't count on sponsor money to pay the purse. The reason is, if you lose the sponsor, you look bad paying less next year. I do agree with you that higher admission and higher attendance is the key.

If you have both middle fingers raised for me that would be number 2. I can't keep giving you these free lessons.

Sad story you have there. I've lost my mother and my high school sweetheart wife but don't use it as an excuse or an attempt to get pity from people. I know way more about you than you think. I knew "Buffalo Breath" Greg Staab pretty well.

USAC has never recovered from the 1978 plane crash. That gave Ted Johnson the opening he needed to grow his WoO vision and he never looked back. USAC was too busy trying to keep the Indy car series as the Indy car owners were threatening to start the CART series and CART won.

Do they have the best dirt racing going now? Yes they do however outside of a 250 mile radius of Indy and Southern Kalifornia most people will choose wings over non-wings and it all started in 1978. Yes I know some early WoO races were non-wing but the "Run Whacha Brung" slogan of Ted Johnson's outlaw series proved the wing cars were faster and safer back then. USAC even tried to be a part time wing series and it failed because Ted Johnson had too big of a head start. Sammy, S. Kinser, and Wolfgang even tried to start their own series and Ted Johnson still won.

I would think more people would appreciate Kevin Miller and USAC for trying hard to stay relevant as a major racing series. Lauren Albano from NOS Energy drink has been a great boost to USAC so we all should appreciate what we have and quit bashing USAC so much before another major sponsor like NOS leaves as a title sponsor. Two of her drivers, Sunshine and Windom, have already left.

Pathetic. You are going with the 1978 plane crash history lesson again? That was two generations ago. While an absolute disaster as many families were destroyed by one horrible incident, that is not why in the second decade of this century Usac is not at a higher level. I appreciate you explaining it tho.

At no time did I ever mention negativity towards Miss Albano or her product. I have probably stated that her drivers may have been shown special treatment by Usac. As you have stated two have left. I believe for bigger challenges and oh by the way money! That damned money thing keeps coming up time and time again.

I will close with this, you still know nothing about me. I don’t seek pity from anyone as death is part of the cycle of life. You decided to incorporate my mother in your rant so I’ve informed you of your ignorance. If as your profile states that you are a professional slacker is correct, then I know all I need about you. Say hi to Kevin Miller for me while you are carrying his water bottle around for him.
