No balloons will land on Indiana sprint car tracks...

Maybe a local track promoter will pick this up? (bio-degradable ones, of coarse)

Now we'll just launch a bunch of phosporus, sulpher and other minerals into the air for a ten second fireworks display in each corner. Im sure thats more safe.

Kind of on the same note remember when they made the dirt tracks stop using calcium chloride because the runoff was contaminating the ground water. Now they spray it all over the roads before the ice/snow starts.

The Camels nose is under the tent - how long before the environmental wackos push to ban racing altogether - give then an inch and they take a mile - btw see the new DHL IndyCar livery - Rainbow - how about keeping the Woke addenda out of racing ??? last time I ship with DHL

Here's an idea.....instead of belly aching on IOW to an audience of like minded people, why don't you get directly involved w/ local, state and fed gov folks and let them know how you feel.
I'll help you start the official list:

1.
2.
3.

Let's go Chief Wahoo!

What specifically bothers you about the DHL livery? Asking for a friend. 🤔

I hope RHR doesn't rear end anyone during the race.;)

The year the 500 ran without fans a friend and I happened by a group of people off Georgetown. They had their own balloon launch. They were concerned about the flyover as they were busy blowing them up and stuffing them under a 12x12 easy-up. It was very festive around the speedway. Thousands were around the speedway for the race. We made our way to the main shute tunnel to watch the jumbo screen inside the track. You could at least see the top of the car and hear the sound. The Thunderbirds came directly down Georgetown. Wow, what a rush. Then those people released the balloons. Must have been 200 or so. It was great.

Re: No balloons will land on Indiana sprint car tracks...

I was hoping some private individuals did this (sent balloons off from a parking lot nearby). Thats great! & I do hope they used biodegradable ones (seriously, that IS good). - maybe the answer is a company needs to make some that destruct FASTER? (I'm not joking)

Otherwise, I wonder if IMS could do like giant soap bubbles? For real, that would be a nice substitute...do it toward a corner to make it slick so they have to lift for the 1st few laps, and drive it like them Cup drivers did at Bristol last wknd...

https://www.hellowonderful.co/post/7...-blow-bubbles/

PS - On the radio tonight, I heard one thing people can do is buy stocks in companies and voice their thoughts on how those companies are being run at the stockholder meetings...for those that can afford that anyway...oh well...will see what happens with the one social media site that might have a new buyer...and I wonder if netflicks subscribers have declined cuz everyone is signing up for Flo Racing and other racing streaming sites??? Lets hope! It is too bad tho, that Net-flicks series DID gain a lot of F-1 fans in America I guess (most popular sport amongst Millennials? I hear people talking about it that do not always discuss racing events). It would be cool if a few people happen upon some Indycar races (maybe even thinking its F-1) and get into this version of open wheel racing. - I do like F1, but Indycar racing is MUCH better racing, and nothing tops the 500 in my book. Otherwise, maybe if this Janet Guthrie movie ever came out (like next late winter would be GREAT timing) it would create some interest in Indycar racing...with or without balloon launches...

He would need a car to drive first...he is rumored to be in line for the 33rd. Lets hope it comes to fruition! I can't believe that he hasn't been named to one yet. U'd think Roger could put him, or Kimi, into a 4th car (it's not gona be Larson...he has no rear-engine experience...Roger should work on that for next year tho...). I actly wonder if RHR is GLAD he doesn't HAVE to race that car anymore now...

I didn't know he was not the driver of the DHL car any more. That goes to show you how much I follow Indy Car. I go to the 500 out of tradition (missed the last two) and don't even pay attention to the rest of the races.

My reply was to someone that steered the thread off the racing part of the discussion (I posted it to have fun with things, and as the thread reads, some didn't know about this or that). Type it in your search engine, or turn on the TV, or the radio; "or record player". If nothing comes up, please email me, I'll send some links (or a personal experience of an FBI contact, cuz someone looked like someone somewhere that they may or may not have been waived in to). I know you sent a message but my inbox is full. Sorry.

I tried to tie it in to Indiana racing pretty well. It was a quiet news week and I thought this would get things floating...

Maybe they can send the balloons out to 3 or 4 tire testing factories and come up with smthn that passes?

I don't know...just wait, how long til Milk isn't allowed in IMS Victory Lane? - Surely you have heard of the "issues" some have with milk producing animals right? Again, type it in (I'm not making it up).

The long term future of the entire sport of fuel powered auto racing is in jeopardy, if we wish not to discuss things that are being taken away...

And you steered the thread back with that comment? It should have been removed. (And now, since I called out your lie, you go into how milk stands a chance at being removed from victory lane.)

I'll go back to the comment I made earlier: IOW stands for Ignorant Old Whiners!
