According to a response on their new page they are removing trees to add more bleachers.

I hope the new owners do as good as they think. Removing trees for more seats, just where would a body find shade on a hot afternoon?

Those two huge trees down near turn 1 were my best friends during the sweltering August USAC show. Until my other friend dusk arrived. :)
