I get goosebumps when I see or hear Parnelli's name. He was my original childhood hero from the first time I saw him race at IRP in 1960. He was just incredible!!!!! It absolutely broke my heart when he got out of openwheel so quickly but, looking back, what a smart decision it was. I still admire the guy to this day.

The last time Parnelli drove a midget around was Pages' at Saugus several years ago. He said he made the boys nervous when he brushed the fence on the front stretch.

Last year I had a sprint car hall of fame meeting on Saturday morning so I missed the breakfast - I stepped down from the Hall of Fame so - you bet - the breakfast is on the agenda
