2022 USAC Wish List tracks

I have a list of tracks I'd like to see USAC go to for the first time or go back to after a long absence.
1. Oskaloosa (Silver Crown) Since there is now a void in the Osky challenges, down to one night this year. How about a Crown race! Great way to grow the series. Lots of people in the area due to the Nationals.
2.Tazwell TN been dying to see sprints and or midgets here!
3. Bulls Gap TN see above!
4.Jackson MN race was scheduled a few years ago rained out I believe nothing since.
5. Moberly Mo probably the most recent track visited on the list. The last show was excellent! Different night would probably increase the attendance.
6. I-70 Odessa Mo The new and remodeled facility would be an great double header weekend with Lakeside or Valley.
7.Charlestown IL (Midgets) This track is a high banked 3 groove gem.
8.US 13 Speedway Delmar Delaware
The East Coast USAC series already competes here but an Eastern storm invasion of the First State 1/2 mile would be epic.
9.Texas Motor Speedway dirt track Fort Worth TX
10.Devils Bowl Speedway Mesquite TX .

Waynesfield? There's actually other tracks in Ohio? Outside of Toledo I wonder what was the last USAC sprint car race was besides Eldora?

Milwaukee Mile...they had a Midwest Tour Super Late model race (I think Kody Swanson ran it) earlier this year and are set for the ARCA Menards series on August 29th...plus they have "street drags" there like every month. So racing IS still alive on the site...really would love to see the Silver Crown cars at Madison International Speedway on a Friday night and at The Mile on a Sunday (gives them Saturday to go thru the cars...).

Usac Silver Crown. WEST VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY Big 5/8t

Usac Sprints. Portsmouth Raceway Park (Better than Eldora), Waynesfield with no wing sprints on premises, ruins track.. Dirt Track at Indy (It'd work, I've seen Wing sprints on a track that small. Wild.) Calistoga

Usac Midgets. Terre Haute. Calistoga

IndianaSprintFan 8/9/21 11:45 AM

Midgets at Brownstown. Seen a powri race there several years back and it was great racing.

badcoupe 8/9/21 11:49 AM

Silver Crown: Milwaukee, Richmond, Lawrenceburg

Sprint: ?

Midget: Belleville, Terre Haute

How about a three day show at Lawrenceburg. $25000 to win them all

Eatin Dirt 8/9/21 4:19 PM

I would says Twin Cities in North Vernon, good racing when Sprintweek was there years ago. I know there were promotional issues and the catch fence, remember Brady Short went through it.

I've only been to Eldora & Attica in Ohio, but I thought Attica was really racy (Allstars) & perfect size for USAC sprints or midgets
I wonder why they don't race Ohio more, it would be any easy haul.... don't want to compete with Hoosier tracks?

captrat 8/9/21 6:52 PM

Wayne County, Sandusky, Fremont, Millstream, midgets at Columbus. Back in the day Tri-County in Cincinnati and New Bremen.

Years ago they had what they called the Buckeye Nationals where USAC ran the sprints and midgets at Fremont, Attica, Lima and Eldora four nights in a row. The racing was great but Ohio folks just don't support Non-wing like we should, that's why they added the winged cars to the Four Crown I think. I take in BOSS races to see racing at Ohio tracks and hope they have a track left after the other classes.

A genius among us.Same week as Ocala, ooo yeah.:8:

dsc1600 8/10/21 9:59 AM

There are a ton of great tracks for Usac that would produce awesome racing, sadly there’s just not much of a market for it.

I would love to see a big event back at Osky, the Usac midgets replace powri at the Ironman and some additional doubleheaders with the WoO but that won’t happen.

ThrowbackRacingTeam 8/10/21 10:06 AM

Sprints- Oskaloosa IA, Davenport IA 1/2 mile, Knoxville Illinois
Midgets- Belleville KS, Terre Haute, Davenport IA 1/4 mile.
Silver Crown- Milwaukee, Newton, Sedalia, Sacramento and a rebuilt Langhorne.

Have you been to all those tracks? I've been to Orange County twice & doubt if I ever saw anybody pass, especially for the lead. Closest track to where I live & probably won't go again...
I went to Hagerstown once & it was painfully slow, huggy bottom all the way. Plus my racing hero from the 60s, Smokey Stover of Staunton, Va. got seriously injured there. Long drive for me & I'm NOT going back...:42::

Yes been to all. All tracks can be decent if prepped right. Giving a track a chance to me means going a few time. Just because one night sucked doesn't mean the others will.
Hagerstown for a late model show in the mid 90's and twice in the early 2000's for two other late model shows.
Been to the Big Block Modified Eastern States 200 twice and thought they where good shows those years. Depends on track prep. Brett "The Jet" Hearn runs the place now.

Therealether 8/10/21 2:14 PM

I mean, they run winged sprints at New Smyrna and it's always a great show. USAC did run the midgets there in 2013 for the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car racing, and that blew people's minds. They were lightning quick. And they had a really large crowd to see the midgets, even though it was 35 degrees those 2 nights. Everyone left after the midget feature. I don't see what this was never thrown around for mid-week between midgets and sprints at Bubba. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I'll take your word for it. People told me both those tracks mostly did Mods & LMs.... maybe not as good for sprints, tho? :11:
