Indy week
Would be interested in everyone’s plans....races, restaurants, motels etc.
Back to “normal”? Hope so 🏁 |
Re: Indy week
Next live race for me will be midget week if I don't hit florence or Moler beforehand.
May hit up Waynesfield on Sun 30th but don't like burnt up track. We'll see. |
racing
Sat.gas city Sun.Kokomo Wed.&thur. terra haute Fri.? Sat. .LITTLE 500 |
Terre Haute Wednesday and Thursday, Bloomington Friday, rest on Saturday, Indianapolis 500 and Haubstadt on Sunday
I will be doing first day of Indianapolis 500 qualifying this Saturday |
Only live racing for me coming up is Kokomo for the Allstars. $26,000 to win with the Outlaws not scheduled to race that night and not too far away should be epic.

Re: Indy week
I might go to Terre Haute on Wednesday night. Maybe the Little 500 or the 90 minute Figure 8 race at the Speedrome Saturday night. I might stay home and tinker on hot rods. I never know now what the urge will be till that day gets here nowadays..
No Carb day this year, so it wont be as lively as in the past cruising around the Town of Speedway and seeing the "Racing Families" PR man staggering across 16th street after to many Silver Bullets, and hollering at him as I went by....:D:D:D |
Stay home recovering from back surgery. Ah, the joys of getting old. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable week of great racing!

Re: Indy week
i am having another surgery on Friday the 21st. Will be a bummer missing out on one of my favorite weeks of the year. Anybody want a carb day infield parking pass, let me know.

Which day is the better of the two for qualifications? Are the Saturday positions from 10-33 up for grabs Sunday or just fast 9 and bumps?

Be at circle city Thursday night. May do gas city as well
|
Re: Indy week
I"m planning on hitting Terra Haute both nights then going with MSCS three nights, Bloomington, Putnamville, Haubstadt. Kind of a practice for Midget and Sprint week. ;) :D PJ and MR Funk I hope you both have successfull surgery and quick recovery

Unlimited attempts. Positions 10-30 will be locked at the end of the day. Sunday will see the Last Row Shootout (5 drivers going for the last 3 spots), then the Fast 9 shootout for the pole position. Those two will be packaged together neatly for television. Then the track will open for practice to end the day for a couple hours. Personally, I like Saturday the best as they are qualifying all day and it kinda has the feel of Qualification Days gone by. But you don't get the finality of who won pole or who is left out. Sunday will give you that, but it's a relatively short day of action; albeit there's practice afterwards, but it's a bit anticlimatic. |
