Vermilion County

Don't know if this old news or not, but I just met the new promoter at Vermilion County Speedway today! Nice guy by the name of Joe Spiker, a.k.a. Spiker Promotions! He just signed the papers this week, and is looking for input on running Sprint Cars. REALLY!! Send him your thoughts through here: http://www.vermilioncountyspeedway.us/

Same one Lloyd........

He is looking for input on classes and what nights to run......He is very interested in running more than one night I think, but wants the racers opinion on what and when......He has alot of good ideas geared toward rewarding the racers......

It's Vermillion County, Illinois. It's in Danville.

That's odd. I've been going to Danville forever and never really noticed that they were missing an "L".

Speaking with some folks the other night it seems as if the track will be geared towards sprints modifieds and late models with the rumor being $1,700 to win for sprints and $1,000 for modifieds. I think they'll also be looking to do a bunch of big shows as well with a possible 3-day Memorial Day show too. Sounds interesting so far.

I sent Joe an e-mail thanking him in advance for running sprints. Let's hope that he can get this started and be profitable as well.

just to clear it up it is the same joe spiker that used to race bombers at putnamville. He is a good friend of mine... He has been trying to get putnamville for a few years now, but that one guy that we all know and love DA won't bring his price down... Anyway I am happy to hear this for Joe he has been looking to do this for a while hope it all works out... Might have to make a trip over there for a sprint race.
