Re: Your 2019 Race Season
I used to do a race count thread every year that people could find their post and updated after every race they attended.
I didn't and didn't keep track this year. Im guessing I made about 20 but considering I was in the crash house two weeks and not feeling up to anything for another two. Off the top of my head. I made Burg. All sprint races but two 2 times to Waynesfield, Hewitt and Hampshire classics 1 to Florence Latham Memorial 2 to LPS Sprint week and a aug weekly 1 Eldora Four Crown 1 Twin Cities BOSS. 1 Atomic Ohio Sprint week cancelled during heats Slim pickins for me this year. |

Re: Your 2019 Race Season
Well I guess I'm the low man here, not as many as in years past cause I gave up my annual Colorado to East Coast & back migration to stay East & take care of 97 yr. old Mom. I would always plan my journeys to hit races in Indiana, Ohio, Knoxville Nationals or other parts of the Midwest. Really missed going to Indiana this summer...
Only 10 different events, but 15 nites of racing cause of extended Chili Bowl. 2 Outlaws vs. Posse at Williams Grove 3 Pa. Speedweek 3 USAC Sprints Eastern Storm 2 USAC Midgets Eastern tour 5 nites of Chili Bowl 2 new tracks for me: Bridgeport, NJ & Linda's Speedway, Pa. :22: |
Re: Your 2019 Race Season
The one I'm most jealous about? Lets Race Two! :23:
I've been to 4 Crown, the year Tony spent 2 hours working the track... took too long. Kept falling asleep during Silver Crown race, had to leave lest I fall asleep at the wheel! :24: |

Re: Your 2019 Race Season
Pat and I attended 111 races in 2019 starting out in New Zealand (wonderful trip) and ending up in Arizona. Along the way we hit 60 different tracks and 20 were new ones in 11 states and one new country. Six new tracks in New Zealand in January and six new tracks for last year in New Zealand in December. Two of the best were the USAC midgets at Grandview and the Action Track USA in Pennsylvania. Gas City USAC show with Shane Cottle nipping CJ Leary might have been the best in Indiana. Attended Lincoln Park 12 times and 11 times at Kokomo. It was a fun year filled with many highlights and memories and meeting new friends and reuniting with old ones.
Look forward to a great 2020 racing season and see you all down the line somewhere!!! Bruce and Pat Eckel :6::D:23: |

Nice so see a 2019 recap by the great IOW fans. I had a wide variety of tracks and sanctioning bodies including:
Daytona, Volusia Speedway Park, Brownstown, Eldora, Gas City, Kokomo, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, IMS dirt track, Lincoln Park, Paragon, Terre Haute, Haubstadt, Fairbury, Knoxville, Chicagoland Speedway, Route 66 dirt oval, Anderson, Winchester, Lucas Oil Raceway and Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. And throw in the PRI show to wrap up 2019. Like many others, can't even remember how many races got rained out. Nice job by everyone! :22: |

30 races, 16 tracks, 7 states. 2 new tracks. Would have added one more race and new track if the Concordia, KS USAC National midget race had not been cancelled (not a rainout) after all the cars were unloaded in the pits. Also passed on Turkey Night at Ventura this year due to the iffy weather situation, even though I bought my tickets back in June.
