Re: Coons Triple Crowned !!!!!!!
Hey Aussie I am confused here? You are giving Jerry congrats for something you dont think he deserves why would you do that?
Jerry and the RWB Team along with Jerry and the HAR Team busted their humps all year to give him the career triple crown. Congrats to HAR RWB and JCJ for one HELL of a great 2008 year!!! Re: Coons Triple Crowned !!!!!!!
3 in a year is the way but 3 anyway make you a triple crown champion.
It's a short list. Congrats Again !! :dologob: |
Re: Coons Triple Crowned !!!!!!!
Jerry did a super job this year. The best race I saw was the Bloomington Sprint Week round in which he won. It is quite an accomplishment to garner two championships in one season. Congratulations to Jerry and all the crew members on both cars, there efforts were simply "the best."

Re: Coons Triple Crowned !!!!!!!
Congrats Jerry.
All this whining about Triple Crown champs, and I bet that 3 or less on here even know who the first driver was to win championships in 3 different USAC divisions. |
Re: Coons Triple Crowned !!!!!!!

Congrats to Jerry and family, and both the Sprint and Champ Car teams!:respect:
Thought from day one that Rob made a wise choice with Coondog as his "fulltime" driver. The awards from both Championships should pay for a couple of packs of diapers....:D |

I am going to have three corndogs tonight for dinner to celebrate! :respect:
Way to go CORNDOG Jr. |
Re: Coons Triple Crowned !!!!!!!
IMHO, there are two USAC Triple Crown winners -- Tony Stewart and J.J. Yeley. They won all three titles in the same year.
Winning three championships in three different USAC divisions is a tremendous accomplishment. But doing it in different years is not a Triple Crown. Congratulations to Jerry Cooooons Jr., for proving his versatility by claiming national championships in three different divisions during his career. He joins a very elite group of people.
