They are smarter than me, but idgi...I had a hard enough time trying to race with nthn rit in the middle of my nose (lol), but the F-1 guys do it with their setup...I'd just rather c just a roll cage like the Silver Crown cars...or them Speedway cars they had for 3 years or so...

A roll cage will create safety issues in regards to egress, same thing with a full canopy. The F1 system creates line of sight issues on ovals. This is a stop gap until they get the windscreen perfected and rolled out, if they can.

He is right, ‘he don’t get it’!! I’m guessing you’re not an engineer??

Looks fine to me...I'm sure whoever built it was a heck of a fabricator/smart person & it woulda held up fine. Looks like plenty of room to get in & out too...

Nope. I never wanted to go in debt to get a degree...maybe I shoulda, but either way, at least the only thing I owe on is my rental property. lol. & I'm far from being a self taught one either...oh well...not everyone can do or be everything...

I have been to IMS quite a few times. It still makes me feel different every time. There is only one.

In his autobiography Smokey Yunick devotes a fair amount of time and space to a period during his life when he was visited by a recurring dream that included what he referred to as the Indy Bull. IIRC the Bull resided in turn #1 of The Speedway. The Bull impressed upon Smokey in these dreams that he and The Speedway cut no one slack. You're either good enough/fast enough or your not. I believe ol' Smokey liked that Bull.
