Jerry Coons Jr.
2008 USAC National sprint car champion, probably. I think a 13th place finish both nights locks him in.
2008 National Sivercrown champion maybe, he is in a toyota. |
Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
Go Coooooonsdog!
And HAR! Chuck |
Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
great job coondog class act on and off the track

Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
The Coondog will take them both this weekend:checkered:

Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
I can't argue with that either. Coondog is a class act on and off the track.... the kind of guy who deserves championships!

Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
Well, it's not over yet but the team certainly has a decent lead going into Jerry's "home track."
I especially admire how a local, single car effort with one full time employee [Dan Lauderville] can compete with the much deeper, better financed teams such as Stewart and Kahne. :usac::usac::hoffman: |
Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
does jerry have a national midget championship?? would this make him another triple crown winner??
|
Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
He has at least two, Rob. The last two.
Jerry |
Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
good luck this weekend Jerry bring home that triple crown!! :respect:
|
Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
We're wishing the best for Coondog at Manzanita as well. The Silver Crown deal is a tough one, as we are HUGE Dave the Rave fans, too.
Best wishes to both, and everybody else at Phoenix and Manzy this weekend!:applaud: |
Re: Jerry Coons Jr.
Good point about the "one car team" taking on the big dogs. Short track racing may the last place where the little guy can still compete on even terms. It's more about the kind of swing you take, than the size of the bat, that determines whether the ball goes over the fence.
Go get 'em Coondog! later, Bob Mays |
