Bloomington speedway 8/31/2018
 

Is there anyone at the speedway that can give a weather update? I am about an hour away and its been raining here for over an hour.

I live just over a mile from the track. So far it just lightly rained. Dampened the ground, but more is coming. Still not much has fallen at this time.

Keeps missing us just getting a persistent drizzle of this stops it’ll be heavy and fast.

I am on my way from Evansville and I am at Bloomfield right now. Have driven through light sprinkles but no real rain. I see lots of ominous clouds to the north and east.
Raining hard now!

It's sprinkled on and off. Sun is even peeking out here and there. Mostly dry. Speedway Facebook says racing is still on.

Any new updates

Very light rain falling. They are out packing the track presently.

For anyone wondering, I am at the track. It is currently raining. I'm shocked by how many people are here though. There's a very good amount of people in the parking lot. We're all just kinda holding right now.

Drivers meeting now

They said that they're going to try to get this in tonight at all cost. Just started sprinkling some more.

Raining very hard now. I'm not a pessimist but...I don't see how they're gonna get this in.

What going on

They say the tracks to wet to ride a 4 wheeler on to turn the infield lights on. Quite a few trailers have left, still steady light rain with more on the radar. BUT they say they are waiting to see.

Just called it, may be rescheduled

I was curious about what they would do if they had to cancel since it was the last race of the season.

A decision will be made in the next 24 hours on a reschedule or if they'll refund tickets. Stay tuned to their webpage and social media.

Also those that bought a 50/50 [$79] also pay attention, they did draw and announce a number but will post that as well to be claimed if it wasn't already.
