Terre Haute Saturday

I am totally prepared to get beat up for this question. But, I must ask. What is the expected car count for Terre Haute Saturday? How many cars does mscs usually pull for Terre Haute?

I'd say there won't be a one.

Had 24 there on the last visit in 2015. We've actually had them scheduled the last two years as well, but had three different rainouts. Should be a good car count with Haubstadt having a big show with them on Saturday.

I hope the track is better prepared than it was for sprint week :7:

Beats me. But a race on a Sunday? I’m there. Dust and all. Beats sitting at home.

Aw, c'mon man. It's Terre Haute. You gotta go home with a dirty face. I had a guy from down in WAR country stay with me for the last four of Sprint Week. He whined for three days after THAT. I wanted to send him home with a package of diapers but my wife wouldn't let me. TeeHee

Some of us remember good track conditions at Terre Haute with practically no dust! The new dirt brought in in 1999 screwed it up big time. However, I've also seen the track as it is prepped much better than the last several races there. There's been an obvious difference since Reece O'Connor parted ways with TEI. I chose to skip sprint week there for the first time in many years and am glad I did after seeing the video and what happened to the people in the grandstand. I hope things change so I can justify a return. We'll see......or not.

A couple of things, did I like the dust at ISW,nope, did I enjoy the racing and spending quality time with friends, damn sure did.Showers are for washing the dust off.
Most of all we still have THAT to watch races at.

The idea that Terre Haute must be dusty by definition is not supported by past history. Not to sound like the old back in the day guy, but those who started following dirt track Sprint cars from around 1990 on seem to accept dusty conditions as the new normal.

See you Sunday!
