Wondering what some options may be. Planning on spending night in Bloomington and driving into Haubstadt early Saturday and should have some time to kill and to try somewhere local and good.

R'z Cafe in Ft. Branch also is really good. Just north and east of I-64, off US41, is the Log inn. Been around about 100 years, Abe Lincoln ate there. It's family style chicken, ham, etc,and literally the best sides. Tough to get in sometimes due to the crowds,so you might call ahead. Saturday hours 4pm-10pn. Carriage Inn is excellent also. Pork chops are great. One more is the Hornville Tavern, south and west of I-64/US41. They have some fantastic smoked pork chops, and chicken. |
Los Tres Caminos on 41 in North Evansville, and Turinos Pizza I believe there are at least Three locations. GREAT thin crust pizza!!!!

I'm a big fan of Hornville Tavern. It's around 10 minutes from Tri-State Speedway. Great food and I've had great service every time I've been there.

Sandy's pizza and then down to Carson's Brewery for some pre-race drinks and growler fills to go. Also Stolls Amish Buffet just south of track is a good place too, just don't over eat like I normally do.

Re: Food in Haubstadt near Tri-State
Another REALLY good place to eat is Stoll's Country Inn South.....Off of I-64, go Rt. 41 south, across the street from McDonalds. Country buffet style eating, large selection of eats, plus homemade pies and cakes, etc. all you can eat...priced right..opens at 10 AM each day,,,,:8:...Plenty of parking....even rigs with trailers
|
Sandy’s will deliver to the track also!!

Re: Food in Haubstadt near Tri-State
Rpracing1 told me about the Roca Bar which is south of the track in North Evansville. It is great Pizza, plus they have other food. They were pretty fast also.

Thank you for recommending Stoll’s. It was excellent.
