A little bit of BOSS Series News..........

From the BOSS twitter page.

Well, the secret is out. After 7 successful years of BOSS traditional sprint car racing, 2018 will be our most ambitious schedule to date with 20 plus events in 5 states. In addition, BOSS will venture into the world of winged Sprint Car Racing with some select events at some tracks currently in the BOSS family of tracks. Watch for more details in the following weeks!

How are you going to attach a wing to a car that has no wing posts?

MIracing 12/10/17 8:48 AM

Boss stated this is a totally different deal from the non wing. They are just running some wing races under the BOSS name. Fry said he is looking to hang up the helmet. BOSS only runs 20-24 races and he doesn't want to add to that being a working mans series. This will allow him something to do on off weekends when there is not a BOSS non wing race once he's done racing himself.

I support Boss Non wing and will continue to do so.

I don't go to wing races, but I do see some at some of the NW shows I go to. Other than the features. I don't care for it.

What I'd love to see is someone do for Midgets what BOSS has done for Sprints in OH/IN/PA. We have nothing but one usac date at about 7 tracks and the grand prix.

Well Montpileir. Sorry they are working on it.

Weld some spuds and tabs on ...
And add a little magic...

This is great news. There's plenty of room for a BOSS style rule book in the wing world. Cant wait.

The Ohio Sprint Car Series announced they had ceased running the other week.

Maybe this is like a a few years ago when SOD abandoned 360s solely and GLSS picked up the pieces. Maybe BOSS is doing the same here? They would already have cars, I would imagine.

This is precisely the case. As I understand the owner of OSCS tried to get the owner of BOSS to take over/buy his series.

After talking with BOSS today the wing program is their own. May see some Indiana dates with it. Time will tell all.

Just posted the same thing in a new thread. It would be great to see them venture over the state line a few times.
