Bloomington Speedway
Is there anyone at the track? How many 410 sprints are there?
24 haulers. Not sure how many are 410
I count 35 haulers.
Sure not what I expected.
14 410 and 18 racesavers. Sad
Is that too many, maybe they'll have to make it a two day show! Bob
Very sad. If u have a sprinter at home, why are you not here? It's 300 to start. I don't get it.
Count now 16. Notables (Jeff bland jr)brady short
One more racesaver just pulled in as well. 16 sprints for 4000 to win. I'm disappointed.
Sleeper, Lee Underwood!
Running against Lincoln Park with similar payout certainly isn't helping the counts. 16 Here, 17 There, That's 33 running within an hour of each other.
Don't expect this show next year. Why would they pay 4K to win and get 16 cars? Racers gotta support big races...smh
So who won the points in sprints this year can't find any info on that.

I'd say it's that time of year, park the car, and get the kids off to school, take a chance on blowing it up for 300.00, might get into next year's budget.
We had one blow up in qualifying already. So it's 15 cars now.

Re: Bloomington Speedway
Very sad indeed. Bloomington always runs on Friday night. Lincoln Park always runs on Saturday night. Why did Lincoln Park run a show on Friday night against Bloomington? Looks like a feud between tracks..JMO.
LPS has been on the schedule all year for a two day Friday/Saturday event. Bloomington just added this race a few weeks ago.
Not quite, Lincoln Park had their race scheduled all year. This was a make up event of sorts in that nothing was planned till a few weeks ago. Since all the big sprint races were able to be run there was no need for a big race makeup. However with numerous other rain outs they made this special event to combine some of those rain outs. They picked a bad week to do it though.
This could be a thing next year. Just needs to be scheduled better. |
I think this just was the wrong weekend for this race. The USAC regulars are off to Ohio and five cars that would probably have run Bloom or LPS towed to Lucas Oil Speedway for the 3 day Hockett memorial.

This could've been an awesome event if scheduled on the right night. Great idea.
Love Bloomington, but Henry missed on track prep too. Track is waaaay too wet. Zero passing.
Who is there?
Results???
1st 410 feature pushing off now. 40 minute or so delay for Precautionary Transport of Henning and another medical attention in the pits.
3 flips [4 cars] in the 305 Qualifier didn't help either. |
And another flip first lap of feature
Bland
Brady ONeil Top 3 in 1st 410 feature |
Would've thought that the Racesavers could've been ready to go. What a night!
Been like this all night. No one in the chute ready to roll till 10 minutes after the fact.
Hate to be negative but this is ridiculous.
Did not make this show tonight. Hardly any info was given out on questions asked and early car owner reactions were not favorable. I guess they were correct.
Re: Bloomington Speedway
Glad i went home after i heard there were only 16 410 sprints in the pits.
Barrow
Wimmenuar Tusing Top 3 in 1st 305 feature. Jackson ran over a lap car with 2 to go and spun from the lead. |
Actually, the racesavers lived up to their name in that first feature. Good race.
I thought 410's were gonna run features back to back without removing cars from track. What happened with procedure?
Brady
Bland Barrow Top 3 in 2nd 410 feature. Also is the final points order overall. |
Galedrige
Fox Wimmenuar Top 3 in 2nd 305 Feature Wimmenuar is overall winner over Fox. |
Re: Bloomington Speedway
I'm sitting at home hundreds of miles away from any wingless racing. I would have loved to have been there.
