Anyone have the complete finishing order? MSCS's website is not showing it, nor is LPS's.

What do you all think about the double file restarts with MSCS? Haven't heard too many people say anything about them. Nobody else does it in Sprint Car Racing besides WoO.
Thanks.

Hate it! Don't like the laped cars being put behind everyone. If the first car passed 4 lap cars everyone should have to pass them, yellow comes out 2nd 3rd 4th don't have to pass them.
That's not fair!

Love them....better show for the fans....Obviously what the WOO does is the way to go.They pay twice to 3 times as much and have a huge fan base compared to non wing! There will be about 20 people blast me for supporting Wings, I get it! It is like comparing Single A Baseball to AAA Baseball.

I absolutely hate double file restarts. 50% of the time there's a accident on the first lap of the restart. They breed more accidents.

Also if the bottom is good, The guy starting outside can lose 3-4-5 spots before he can ever get down. and vice versa if the tops the hot line.

Seen way to many be in the right place at the yellow time people pick their way though fields and never have to actually pass a car.:7:

Don't like them! Lots more crashes and caution flags with double file restarts.

Really?Seems a bit presumptuous to connect their purse structure, etc. with double file restart policy. I would think it might be connected to skillful marketing and the benign neglect of USAC.

So,it is not appropriate to give a factual reason why I support an idea that only 2 organizations use by stating that the majority of sprint car fans support them ? I did not see the button for yes/no? I apologize for that oversight!

flagboy55 8/14/17 9:05 PM

Let's face it, we all hold our breath getting through the first corner at the start of a feature, knowing that the possibility of complications are magnified, why would you want to add a that again. And why on earth would you apply anything the outlaws do to non wing racing. I love both, but most spots are gained and lost on starts with those guys. Their heat races usually are snooze fest after the first lap. I agree with someone else who said that if the leader had to pass a lapped under green, the next guy should to. For my money, double file has no place in short track racing!

Rpracing1 8/14/17 9:25 PM

Love em. These drivers are Professionals. Yes , you get that first lap adrenaline rush at every restart unless they fail, and then they go back to single file restart. I think the untrained casual fans love it also. And I've seen plenty of single file restarts go way bad with failed, unrealistic slider attempts. If you are good, fast, and on the button and up front , guess what, you should not have any issues. I listen to lots of driver interviews and opinions, etc. and I have heard very few complaints with this procedure. Drivers will have their complaints about anything when it does not go their way. Human nature. Unless someone can produce stats that show a huge increase in cautions under this restart procedure, I really hope it continues. Love it!

You're certainly in titled to your opinion, as we all are, I only question in MSCS, how many are professional racers?

They draw quite the crossover drivers from the USAC ranks, so I would say quite a few. I personally don't consider any of them amateurs.

As a long time fan I think the double-file restarts while sending the lapped cars to the rear is a needed breath of fresh air.
