He already lost his house and now lives with his mom.

Maybe Reno will buy it. Sad situation tho.

Hopefully someone will buy it to continue racing. As for Mr. Clem, anyone who names a racetrack after themselves is a narcissistic wiener head.

Ummmm...I believe he made a career out of making a "name" of himself (which the one he CHOSE in itself creates "interest"; and opens the door up for whatever thrown his way!)...so when one does that, they put them-selves in the limelight...if he had weak-skin, he shoulda punched buttons at the factory and gone home at night and kept to himself...nmho...

Does anyone think he earned the opportunities to run (wreck) Tony's car's at Tulsa by helping out in the shop, sweeping floors, washing off dirt, etc? (maybe he did in some forms, I really don't know...this is a question...lol)

OnTheHammer 5/12/19 8:50 PM

Hulk Hogan made millions off the video of him and Bubbas wife. Maybe Hogan will bail him out. LOL

Wow, just wow.

While he engaged in Hyperbole to make a living. Watching the guy talk to others of differing views not on his platform, He wasn't beyond reason.

The man buys improves a struggling track and runs top series racing for over a decade and it turns to bashing and trashing.

Who would want to run a track these days?

A quick web search on "Love Sponge" definition really does offer a lot of answers...I think a guy calling himself that is surely capable of withstanding the harshest IoW can offer...lol

"BURG 2 nights!"

Therealether 5/13/19 12:46 PM

The track actually addressed this on their Facebook page on Friday I think it was.
As far as another place to start, bring em to Volusia. Last time midgets ran there it was pavement

LB 5/13/19 1:14 PM

Maybe its time to have the borderwar again ,,Eldora and Winchester but then again remembering how it was ,dirt ,pavement

How about the 1/2 mile for 2 nights and the 1/4 for 2 nights...Where? just up the road at All Tech Raceway outside Lake City, just a mile off I-75.... we will be putting the 1/4 in when they close for summer break in July.

We Southeastern Sprint Car Series already had 1 race there on the 1/2 mile ...dry slick and had several lead swaps at the flag but many many more slide jobs in the corners...To quote Donnie Schatz when he was testing there in Feb., "this is the smooths track with the most grip I have ever been to...I love this joint"...Florida "GUMBO" clay

We've had better weather in February than March, April and May the past couple years. :) but that's now what I meant, Have it in March or April. Short off season getting ready for mid Feb. But they do it because it's scheduled.

Re: The Sponge

Obviously I am biased but I'd love to see the So Cal/AZ tracks to start the season.
The track in Volusia is owned by World of Outlaws now so I highly doubt USAC will be running there.

Therealether 5/13/19 6:57 PM

They have all kinds of non WoO series come through Volusia, including the All Stars
