That last date is an interesting one. The USAC schedule has the sprinters at Circle City Raceway that night.

Gonna skip all these. Starting at 5pm with multiple support classes just doesn’t sound good.

kcarm92 3/13/22 11:13 AM

think that 5 start time is wrong and since guys are putting money into thew old place everyone should go support it, or don't complain when it's gone, jmo

I do hope it is one support class a night. On a track like Terre Haute it is tough to run more than one.

Hope you’re right about the time being wrong and the Sept. 16th date has USAC sprints at Circle City so I wonder if anything about this schedule is valid. I’ve been to THAT when they tried to start at 5 and it didn’t go too well and that was on central time. Eastern time makes it even worse. Also, installing high guard rails instead of a catch fence is a bad idea to me with driver safety in mind. I would much rather flip into a fence than a guardrail and I’m afraid we’re about to see why. I get your point about supporting the track but I will not blindly follow someone who is about to lead me off a cliff.

Well Ballou approves of the improvements. That doesn't mean he's always right or perfect, but I'm sure there was input that went into the decision and not just from the Madman.

when they have had mscs, Indiana late models ,and mods that's 3 classes and it ran off pretty smooth, I say give them a chance and see how it goes

Terre Haute has a noise curfew for the track. They are not running late

Knox and Port both have the high guard rails, seems to work fine

If Reece is prepping the track, I see no problem on start times. They'll probably have to take a twenty minute break half hour before sunset anyway unless it's cloudy.

I plan to make the 550 mile round trip for every race. Skipping only the Monster crap.

The Hurtibise Classic has been changed to September 30th. How do you post a photo on here?….. seen the revised schedule and not multiple classes and the only 5:00 start time is for the silver crown race May 1. Sprint races motor heat at 6:30, 6 of the shows have UMP Mods as the support class and the other has 305 Racesaver sprints.

Wallsracing 3/13/22 9:08 PM

Where do you get multiple support classes

I always heard as long as they are on the track by 11:00 p.m. they can run as long as they need to but cannot push them off after 11:00

Well, I am glad the right hand met the left hand with respect to this race.

The corrections sound good. I’m back in! Still don’t like the guardrail vs. catch fence but hopefully the next time someone tries to post a schedule for them they get it right the first time. Not a good way to start things off. Hopefully they can draw cars for the Hulman, running this on the weekend against all the other Indiana tracks.

cowboyhar69 3/14/22 10:54 AM

They should pack the place for Monster Trucks/ Kids night. The Burg’s night of destruction is usually a sellout!!

Hope to be at most of the shows this year. Nice to see the improvements they are making. Glad to see them getting the fair board support, and them investing sweat equity. Hope they are rewarded with good weather, crowds, and cars. I think starting at 5 on a Sunday night in April is a good idea.

Was at the track today for a short time, the turns all have the lower half the wall done b they were working on turn 1 upper half when I was there. Turn 2 upper half was done.

terrehautian 4/23/22 5:28 PM

Was out there today doing something for work and seen they are renovating the infield tower now. It was a had to as it was rotten like the turn one tv tower. There will be infield restrooms not Porto pots this year at some point. As for what I’m working on for work, when I can share I will.

sp6967 4/23/22 10:19 PM

big props to ronk, bernie, and everyone involved in updating the action track.

I saw a video from Robert Ballou. The place looked really good.
