Why in sweet Jalapeños would USAC schedule a national midget race on the west coast against The Western World Championships?

Eldora also has sprints on October 2nd. They are running winged 410, 360 and 305 sprints. Also for those interested, but can't get to one of the sprint car races. There is the UMP Nationals on Oct 8th and 9th. The Winchester is 400 weekend at Winchester Speedway October 15th - 17th. Salem Speedway closes their season on October 24th with the Halloween 200. Just some other dates to help some race fans make it until next spring.

It's been on the slate all year. You just now noticed?

I think they need to look out for themselves and schedule good races that people want to see (which Ventura is) and not worry about an event that was hi-jacked last season. JMO.

This is another site with all oval racing: http://www.speedwaysonline.com/sched...rack_Schedules. Disregard the 2007 in the URL, it is current.

Probably because they are not too happy that it isnt a USAC race. Why would they worry about a race that is not under their sanction. In the past the Western World has been under WoO and USAC sanction among others. This IMHO is a step down from that.

I scream you scream we all scream for millstream (OH) on Sunday October 3rd for winged 410s, 305s and lates. I only mention it because Millstream rarely runs.

The October 2nd MSCS race pays $10,000 to win and the October 9th Hoosier Fall Classic pays $7,000 to the All Stars and $3,000 non wing. October 9th is the last race of the season at the Burg.

Re: October/November racing Opportunities

Nov. 12 & 13 - ASCS National at Las Cruces, NM
Western World is 3 nights, Nov. 18-20

This makes one possible road trip the Short Track Nationals, Perris the next week, Las Cruces the next and the Western World the next. If USAC had scheduled more in California I would have stayed out there, but they didn't so I'm not. One race in 14 days 2,000 miles from home just doesn't cut it. Hope more are scheduled next year.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 1:30 PM.
