Thank God because we would have had to position a tow truck at each turn to help them big cars navigate those tight turns.:5: Honest Dad himself:6::6: |
Re: The Great Name Debate
I've seen full up sprints, both wing and non wing on a 5/10ths track. You'd be amazed. In fact the track had longer straights than the mini magic mile. It was the old Portsmouth grey clay track. Full up All star show that Keegan won. They hauled em in. backwards and shot down the other straight. Then I seen a NW practice on it. Same thing.
It was probably the wildest and non flatfooted winged racing I'd ever seen for Sprint Cars. |

Charles
If we reduce 5/10 mile to the lowest common denominator we get 1/2 mile right? I know I am just being an a-hole. I work at it. They also ran the big cars up at the Hoosier Dome one year. Luckily not a single sprint car was confused by the title "Lightning Sprint" that Steve used on his poster for the race, but it could have happened. These cars are nothing like a Sprint Car but this name "Lightning Sprint" could confuse a less enlightened Sprint car team. Then what would we do, let them run also since they showed up to race?? :deadhorse: I think this may be an issue why many didn't vote.
There aren't enough fingers to count how many threads this issue has been debated in. Let's put the keyboards down and pick up steering wheels and move on. |

No, it closes Feb 13th; I did get that part right. I just got home from picking up some Midget tires for my race car from Tim Clausen.
Just sayin'...:31: |
Why hasn't anyone thought of calling these cars by this name?:
Outlaw Midgets!! The majority of our events are winged (thus outlaw in orientation).... And then we get to utilize the chassis name. (Thus making those who want us known as a midget class happy!)..... This will also allow marketing to be easier (ie, USOMS= US Outlaw Midget Series or MOMS = Midwest Outlaw Midget Series, ect) JAI |
Couldn't help myself guys.... That one came to me last nite while my kid was watching ASCS 360 sprint reruns! Lol
