Re: To all race car owner/drivers
Adding to what Shortbus said, even the top teams might need a C and probably would apreciate the chance to advance thats not exclusive, Thats inclusive. :)

I will agree with the original point that Kevin is trying to make, that if you show up and race you should be compensated.
My opinion on one of the other subjects this thread has brought up, the format is just fine. If you are going to tweak it at all take the top 4 out of two NQ races and add one more row to each heat. |

And some people can afford to tour with USAC, but others decide we have more fun at the casinos, horse racing, on our boats, or the OTHER OPTIONS that we Owners have in life. We are not always broke, we have CHOICES. As you stated in your post, "some can and choose to spend their moneys elsewhere and thats fine also". Where in Kevin's original e-mail does he state that he CANNOT AFFORD the extra fees for entry fees? What I read is that he is choosing to spend his money elsewhere. Plain and simple. Many owners are making that choice. If you don't believe it, do some research to find out the decline in USAC's revenues and membership fees year-over-year. It's has been declining every year. As a non-profit, USAC's tax records are public information. It's not hard to find them. |

I always pull for the guys I perceive to be under-funded. Years ago, at a WoO race, pitted right in the middle of the high dollar rigs was a guy with an open trailer being pulled by an Olds Vista Cruiser station wagon. I don't remember who won that night, but I do remember the guy with the Olds. I'm not envious of those with lots of cash, but I sure enjoy seeing somebody do more with less. |

I'll give you a hint.. ***lous... k NEXT point... Don is not sitting here saying anything negative or personal about anyone or any one team, he made a clear and accurate statement.. it is a matter of choosing the correct choice for yourself financially and your race team..... So at what point was it necessary to say Don is a pompus A$$ YEA I am good at word games... maybe you should ask him how much he has worked... and such..just for prior knowledge and internal reference... but hey thats just coming from someone who does know the Short's..... so again.... I ask At what point was it needed to attack him about his choices with Don Short Racing...does anyone ask about your choices with your car or team? Just curious.... How about bashing on Craig Armstrong.... you know he's got 3-4 cars.. big toter runs USAC... .. hmmm i dunno Coleman Gulick.... plenty more of others out there who can afford to have these opportunities..why not pointing them out? Just enlighten us all on your Pompus a$$ remark.. I am curious.... Whats our next game... fill in blank.. or Wheel of Insults?:thumb |
